Memo To Men To Change Their Mindset About The Woman Being A Housewife

This is a must read....

MY WIFE DOES NOT WORK!!!

Conversation between a Husband (H) and a Psychologist (P):

P: What do u do for a living Mr. Bandy?

H: I work as an Accountant in a Bank.

P: your Wife ?

H: She doesn't work, She's only a housewife.

P: Who makes breakfast for your family in the morning?

H: My Wife, because she doesn't work.

P: At what time does your wife wake up for making breakfast?

H: She wakes up at around 5am because she cleans the house first before making breakfast.

P: How do your kids go to school?

H: My wife takes them to school, because she doesn't work.

P: After taking ur kids to school, what does she do?

H: She goes to the market, then goes back home for cooking and laundry. You

know she doesn't work.

P: In the evening, after you go back home from office, what do you do?

H: Takes a rest because I’m tired due to all day's work.

P: What does your wife do then?

H: She prepares meals, serving our kids, preparing meals for me and cleaning

the dishes, cleaning the house then taking kids bed.

***Whom do you think works more from the story above???

The daily routines of your wives commence from early morning to late night and

you call that ''DOESN'T WORK''?

Appreciate your wives because their sacrifices are uncountable, this should be a

reminder and reflection for all of us to understand and appreciate each others

roles.

    1. That my wife doesn't work thing does not apply to all jobless housewives. Some women are lazy and dirty while some are extremely neat. It only apply to those that really take care of the house and every every. Husbands should place them on salary please.

  2. I do all the above and still have a paid job. Please women, work and earn your own money! If you are lucky to marry a rich man let him set up a business for you. The era of being a full time housewife is long gone. Your parents didn't spend so much sending you to school only to end up as a liability to one man. When the chips are down the man will call you useless.
A word is enough for the (wife).
If una like, make una gather under my comment dey console una selves 🙄

    1. I am a woman, I work, earn just like my husband does but the money belong to both of us and
our kids. The accounts are in our both names and with either to withdraw.
Above a defined limits of withdrawal, we both get alerts and we are cool with it.
our kids are the next of kin/beneficiary of the accounts.
Isn't that a better way for the two that are one and love each other to live?

    2. When chips are down? Is your husband a slave driver? Madam , don't over stress yourself with work load, you will crack, how can you do all that work and still go to work? Well, we ain't living with you, I commented on an old post on how I pay my madam to stay and cater for the kids till they are of age, then she can do what she likes, even at that we have a househelp too, don't stress yourself woman, your body is not made of iron, you can break down, Easy does it.

    3. Please don't generalise every circumstance is not the same ..im married to a very comfortable man and i stopped working by his instruction years ago because of some challenges during pregnancy and i was not able to combine working with house duties ,,he calculated everything i should be earning as a banker plus bonus and pays me every month so i can stay home and organise his household well..why then should i suffer myself to find extra work when im being paid ..my man sees house keeping as a job so he pays me VERY well for it and takes care of every other expense ..Dont generalise your situation with everybody

    4. You are really suffering, are your finances (you and your husband) so low that you can't get a help(not necessarily a live-in).Your situation is more pathetic than that of a jobless house wife, some of them have helps. I work and i don't lift a pin in my house, i still get half of my salary from hubby as allowance but i can't speak condescendingly on women who are full time house wives. Your type may not even be earning up to 300k sef.

  4. Sometimes women cause this kind of slavery and entitlement mentality they get from men by themselves.
They do all these things for these men when courting. So how will you not be seen as an housewife instead of an help meet.

    1. That's true. The so called housewife is the chef, the cleaner, gardener, seamstress, driver and all but you still claim she doesn't work. Most women aren't full time house wives intentionally though. I am a full time house wife but not really a full time housewife. I have helps in the house, chefs who cook, fishermen and all. I am currently taking my PhD online, have my own job though its real estate courtesy hubby and he pays me monthly too.the only thing is be at home with the kids and take care of them. So it depends on the kind of house wife you choose to be

  5. Some housewives don't do all these things, they just sit at home and gossip their lungs out especially those ones living in face me I slap you.
How some men even make their wives housewives baffles me.things might be good for the man and he provides everything for the family but what if things get bad unexpectedly, who will start to provide for the Family? The housewife?

  6. Just like I have always said, We must define what we truly want in marriage ab initio. We must be specific in our want. Women shouldn't be too desperate to be wives, for most times they saw those signs earlier enough about a terrible husband to be, but went ahead settling down with him hoping for a change.

  7. MOst so called housewives today are social media wives. They live, breathe and think social media.
That is the generation we live in. All the above does not apply to them.

sometimes i still feel bad i don't have a job. my sewing skills are good but the income is irregular because i don't have alot of clients.
i need ideas to make this business grow.getting a shop can't happen now thats why i need suggestions from dear BVs on how to gain more clients and run this home tailoring to yield a steady income.
i want to be able to gain financial independence through my craft since a white collar job did not happen for me.

    1. Word of mouth recommendation is very important. Always ask your clients if they have friends or family that want to sew. I wish you the best.

    3. With sewing, you really just need to pop stuff up on yourself and then on IG naau. If no be say I no too like handiwork (tried makeup, I struggled wih it even as a side hustle until I got a good job. People still tell me my makeup is good but they dont know how I struggle with the details... ehen) I for give una competition for that Lagos. Make sure YOU yourself have a nice body. Curvy or skinny, slay your own outfits. Invest money in your body (gym) and your own clothes. Go to a big church and enter looking *peng* every sunday. When people ask, tell them you made it and they start asking you to make for them. Every asoebi you get, slay it to the wedding and get headache turning. See, when people see you or interact with you and hey get to know your source of income, let them nod their head by just looking at you. Never appear regular. Slay all day with the clothes you make. That way, friends and family will trust what you do. The post at least 3 pictures every week on social media. Also look into doing bridesmaids gowns so when they put on BN they tag you and you gain visibility.

Havilah Divas used to attend Elevation with us. Every sunday, her fascinator is always in the front row and caught by cameras during praise and worship. After church, see her busy chattung with people outside and taking compliments. Okay dey dia...

  13. My husband should see this.
Well I have given myself brains.
We have a newborn and at every slightest provocation he sings "eh you don't work that's why". Forgetting that I had a skill that was giving me money before I got pregnant... A very difficult pregnancy as at that.

Well, ive decided to build my business and I don't intend to take in until my baby is about 2 years old, I need to start bringing something to the table.

He has been saying he would love not to space our kids.
For me,I'm insisting on condom till I'm ready to take in again. He keeps saying that his " withdrawal game" is very strong, na him sabi, I can't take any chances.
If his withdrawal game is so strong how come his ex-girlfriend had an abortion for him.
Nigerian women...our mumu don do abeg!

  14. Any man that takes house chores lightly is just being insensitive.
When I was pregnant, I told my husband that I would need a house help after I deliver. Someone that will come maybe thrice a week to clean and help out. He looked at me and said “what then will u be doing”?that word hurt me so bad. I asked him if he was crazy to ask me such.
Yesterday only him by himself told me he would get me a help. We stay in a duplex and keeping it clean isn’t easy plus baby stress. My baby is colicky and she always wants to be carried 24/7. How then will I cook n do other stuff? Only me ooo.

I did not come to this world to suffer n die oo. I don’t kill my self to do too much. After the infant stage I’ll go back to work and continue my life.

Men should do better oo. Make ur wife no go old pass ur grandma.

  17. Woman who take care of the house and the kids should be appreciated by the husband. Stay at home one day that's when you will know that taking care of the house ain't an easy task. From one thing to the other. There is always something to do in the house except you just decide to not do anything.
