Army Arrests And Hands Over IPOB Supporters To Abia Police

The Nigerian Army, 14vBrigade, Ohafia, Abia State, has handed over 27 pro-Biafra protesters to the State Police Command in Umuahia.

The pro-Biafra members, comprising 4 females and 23 males, were arrested by soldiers in Aba, while during a protest.

Military sources told Vanguard Nigeria that the pro-Biafra protesters claimed that they were members of the Biafran Army; an arm of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, when they were arrested.

The sources disclosed that a first aid box, charms and AK47 rifle belonging to the police were recovered from them. “We got information that a group of IPOB members were demonstrating. On reaching our gate, we approached them with the aim of discouraging them from continuing with the protest.

It was while we were talking to them, that one of the soldiers sighted one of them bringing out a gun from a bag. The soldier fired at him and we secured the gun. One of them who ran away had a pistol fall off from him which he picked and continued running.

“Army doesn’t prosecute. It is the duty of the police to do so. IPOB remains proscribed and their activity is illegal. So, the hand over is to enable police to continue with the investigation and possible prosecution,” the army source stated.

  1. Do I believe everything in this story?
    I doubt.
last week, a group of "raiders" invaded a Zamfara village and killed 9 stationed Nigerian soldiers including a family friend who left 6 kids and a widow. Even Daily Trust had the story.
It was through social media that we got to know that this man was dead.
A colleague posted an RIP with his pictures. These dangerously armed thugs/Boko are all over the North
and the army is losing lives as well as the battles.

Those raiders were never caught. All the while in IPOB protests, we never saw them with guns or knives, so what is this?

    1. Don't mind them, they think we are fools. IPOB that hasn't fire one gun shot they are trying to rope into baseless accusations. The 27 of them will all be released in no distant time. We always win our legal battles and we don't abandon our own in detention. Give us any bail bond and you will see young men rushing to sign it in less than two days.

Just like Kanu said, "The day Biafrans will match, the sun will not set." They shouldn't be deceived to think we don't have the strength or numbers. We are only being civil.

  2. Can you imagine the lies that one of them was sighted bringing out a gun from his bag? Even if IPOB want to carry guns, is it just one gun a crowd of people will move with? They think we are children they will feed with such lies. As if the first lie wasn't good enough, another one pistol fell while running and he came back and picked it then ran away hahahahahaha..... Is this how Nigerian Army have been reduced to? Smh....

We are all Biafrans, we will never retreat, not prevaricate neither are we going to capitulate until Biafra is restored. The day Biafrans will match, the world we know how tolerance we have been over the years. Biafra is my identity and blood.

    2. Anon 13:18, why my identity dey vex you na? In life, either you die for something or you die for nothing. Biafra, the land of the rising sun is my identity. Biafran blood runs in me and I owe no one an apology saying so.

I am not arguing whether Biafran blood or diesel is flowing in your blood.
What I wrote is that if they shoot catapult, you will vanish.
During the last IPOB protests did you join? Tell the truth and shame the shame
