However Adebayo Adelabu of the all Progressive Congress (APC) had his petition thrown out for lack of substantial evidence. He had prayed the court to declare him winner or order a rerun because his opponent's winning was fraught with irregularities, over voting and lack of proper accreditation.
The three-man led tribunal headed by Justice Sirajo Muhammed said the opposition failed to prove any of their claims and affirmed Seyi Makinde as governor.
