In keeping with it's vision of a cleaner and greener Lagos, Gov Sanwo Olu has launched a new culture of waste disposal called the blue box initiative. This is a method whereby colour coded recycling bags will be distributed to each household, and residents will drop their waste in black and blue containers, with only recyclable materials in the blue containers. The bags will be picked up on designated dates by assigned recyclers and transported to sorting hubs within the area.
This system will create wealth out of the 10,000 metric tons of waste daily generated in the state through the recycling technique that would also create direct and indirect jobs.

Delete@Daniel,why so rude?
Delete@Anony07:41 merely stated the fact.
Not only is Lagos a pigsty, the roads and drainages are horrible.
Ikeja which is the capital is in such a condition that is not worthy of a State that was Nigeria's capital for decades.
Then the suburbs are nightmarish.
What does the State Government do with their huge IGR?
Good initiative . Lagos is too dirty. Some human beings live like animals in some part of Lagos.
