The directive, he said was a follow up to his earlier directives on assumption of office to all Agencies and Parastatals in the ministry, which led to the submission of NCC’s baseline short-term performance targets report to the minister.
For the minister, the security implication of the irregularity in the registration of the said Sim cards is too grave to ignore and vowed that the Ministry will not tolerate any actions or inactions that will compromise the nation’s security.
The report signed by the Executive Vice Chairman of NCC, Prof. Umar Danbatta contained precise figures of improperly registered SIM cards in use around the country.
The Commission in its report disclosed that an estimated nine million two hundred thousand (9.2M) SIM cards did not comply with the proper procedures of SIM registration.

Another noise making in action. What is the essence of the SIM registrations if the data cannot be used when needed. Many people are duped by the second using these registered SIMs yet NCC cannot help us when we need to fish out these wicked fraudsters. They should go and sit down.
ReplyDeleteIt’s not noise oh. These idiots have barred my line and I can’t do anything cos I am currently not available to go to their office. I only heard about this last month. They first started with stopping me from making calls, now they have blocked me from even receiving calls and text messages. I have told them that it’s not my fault they didn’t do the correct update when I went there. Why do I have to suffer for their carelessness and foolishness. Let me get back and meet them in that their office eh. It won’t be funny. Stupid people.
DeleteExactly! This is also ny argument. I'm busy. It is your fault that you did not register me correctly in the first place. You've been happily chopping my money for the last five years. Why can't you send one of your staff to meet me? Why do I have to leave my source of income to come and meet you to correct your error?
DeleteLet me check my line to see if it is still working.
