Ringing the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange is a honour typically given to business bigwigs and CEOs, but every now and then celebrities take the center stage.
DJ Cuppy who is the daughter of Nigerian billionaire, Femi Otedola is now the first Nigerian entertainer to ring the bell at the world's largest Stock Exchange market.
It is really an honor when you are given the opportunity to ring the bell.

ReplyDeleteThey mentioned this on TVC "The view" yesterday and one of the presenters made a snarky remark about it and the rest laughed like there was an inside joke amongst them concerning it.
I took it that they felt that she wasn't up to par? She rode on her daddy's tailcoat? Felt others were more qualified? The way they dismissed it was wrong. It's a big achievement as far as I'm concerned. She's doing something and carving out a niche for herself when she could have easily lived a lazy life with daddy's millions.
To think that yesterday, they spoke about women and the challenges they face in the corporate world...Women supporting women na scam when it comes to some people.
