Detained Activist Sowore's Wife Cries Out Against His Detention In Nigeria...

Opeyemi, the wife of Presidential aspirant in the 2019 presidential election under the African Action Congress (AAC) and human activist, Sowore Omoyele has cried out against the unlawful detention of her husband by the Nigerian government.





The human activist who was accused of treason and forming a coalition with the Proscribed leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu to violently overthrow the sitting President, Muhammadu Buhari, was detained following a court ruling for another forty-five days.


Speaking to Democracy Now, a news programme in the US she stated that her husband was being detained without formal charges.


She noted that

“There are no formal charges per say he is just being investigated for possible treason and terrorism.
“They based it upon a meeting that he had with Nnamdi Kanu, who has an organisation about Biafra.

“The two of them met and Yele (Sowore) made it public. In fact, he disagrees with some of Nnamdi Kanu’s rhetoric.
“Yele’s own thing was to bring in everybody’s voices so that Nigeria can be a country for pretty much all of its citizen.

“They also mentioned that he may have taken money from international countries and that he met some of them in Dubai but he has never been to Dubai before. No money basically has been found with him.

“So, those are the things that they’ve mentioned and associated with him but they basically have no ground for holding him and haven’t found any evidence. "

    Buhari is not the one holding Sowore, It's the court and law of the land ghats holding him.
    You should have advice your husband before he embarked on the stupid step he took by talking about revolution like he didn't know the meaning.

    The same man who committed treason, toppled a democratic government in the 80's have the audacity, I mean the guts to arrest another man who's not even close to what he did.
