''Your Excellency Goodluck Jonathan,
I wrote you several months ago but your aides, family and friends refused to deliver the letter because of its contents, while some encouraged me to publish it online to embarrass you and everyone involved. Some offered financial support to fight; however it was just before the elections and some voices suggested I not give your political opponents something to use during the last elections between President Buhari and Abubakar Atiku as I didn’t want to be used as a political tool, so I decided to try another angle.
I have turned down every invitation to join any political campaigns and have always remained apolitical. While others were campaigning for both sides, I spent the about 18 months working with the US State Department on stopping the possibility of mass violence in the Niger Delta during the 2014 elections . We succeeded.
I have attached an invitation to remind you of the day you let me and the entire Niger Delta down. With the indictment of 80 Nigerians in the US; we need to have serious conversations about how our youth end up in foreign prisons while the rich who have usurped Niger Delta funds imprison their bank accounts in foreign countries while owning several private jets in a country where a recruit policeman earns about N109,000 yearly. That’s $300 a year for a policeman.
Sir, If I don’t find a way of delivering the letter to you by the end of day, I will publish it online so the conversations can start, and justice served. I’ve sent you a private message and have not received a reply yet.
I implore everyone who reads this to share until it catches you attention.
This is also a call to everyone who I gave a chance and personally trained in the movie industry. I am proud to say there are over 100 people I trained as Producers, Directors, Actors, Directors of Photography, Editors, Designers. Those I payed their secondary school fees and university tuitions. All of you who know that I thrive on building talent. The avenue I used to train all these people has been cut and for a couple of years and there have been no new “Jeta’s people.”
This fight is all yours and not mine alone. We must change our narrative.
Humbly,
Jera Amata

They saw it and clipped our wings with 'divide and rule'. If only we can come together, these few oppressors go tear race..but if wishes are horses, then beggars will ride. Very sad and pathetic situation.

DeleteI personally don't know what your yapping about. I like you have no affiliation to any political party but am a Christian who does not support evil to the best of my not perfect ability will like to remind you of the word of our Lord Jesus Christ. "Judge not that you may not be Judged first". You that is complaining and giving yourself praises Exploited Calabar for years taking advantage of people for movie shoots and not paying them and selling the production to make millions for yourself and Rita Dominic. I can't count how many times I performed in shows for you with not a penny received for the service of which you made millions from. Promising to produce and album for me bla bla bla. You killed my dream in the music industry. You used me in shows to make money in Calabar and you dumped me. Not a penny even once with recost to what I spent producing my songs. Transportation of me and my crew to the event etc. I forgive you Jeta Amata, but I'm sorry, I have not forgotten. So please don't throw stone from your ill gotten glass house. Advise yourself.
ReplyDeleteWith due respect perxian, is just an average brain. Nothing out of the box in all your comments. I have been following your comments for a while and wonder who these your hailers are. Not putting no one down but trying to state the obvious. Take it in good date. Thank you.
