DeleteWow, so ofada stew na pure pepper.Would try it out.
ReplyDeleteOfada stew is not made with red pepper. You should use green ata rodo for it and loads of onions. Not to worry, green ata rodo is not as hot as the red. This is Lagos ofada, but as an Ijebu girl, it is sacrilegious to use red pepper. Also, blanch your palm oil before use, that is what gives it that transparent-close-to-vegetable-oil look.
DeleteGreen pepper is Ayamase. Different stew from Ofada. So called Ijebu girl, you know nothing. Buka stew is also different. Yoruba’s are the kings of stews. Lol.
DeleteHmmmmmm am loving Saturday breakfast post, and this post is to help me perfect my Ofada sauce, Good morning house.
ReplyDeleteSo it's just pepper mix without tomato that is used for ofada sauce? Wawu!
ReplyDeleteThe best is even the unripe pepper,I mean the green ones. It gives it some kind of aroma.
DeleteWill try this one day
ReplyDeleteI'm having rice stew and boiled egg with a bottle of malt.
ReplyDeleteI thought it's unripe pepper and tatashe they use for ofada sauce?
ReplyDeleteI thought so too, green pepper especially.
DeleteThat is what to use o and sometimes unripe tomatoes
DeleteTwo different stews. Ayamase is green, Ofada stew is red.
DeletePlease bvs half paint corn, half paint millet, half paint dawa, half paint soya beans, are these ok for tom brown? Should i add or reduce any.
ReplyDeleteStella thank you ooo. Now am saliviating for nothing
