President Julius Bio of Sierra Leone has sacked his state chief of protocol (SCOP), Edna Kargbo, following an open church testimony.
Kargbo had travelled to Nigeria to give a testimony at the Synagogue Church of All Nations owned by popular Nigerian evangelist TB Joshua.
Showing photos of her appointment letter and luxurious house to a crowd in front of the church, Kargbo said God had been so good to her since she was appointed.
“I want to thank God for blessing me with this job as SCOP to the president of Sierra Leone, ambassador at large and the blessings that come with it. If you look closely at this picture you will see my luxurious house God has blessed me with. I was living in a single room apartment. But my story is now different,” she said in a speech aired on Emmanuel TV.
According to AA, an International News Agency, the Sierra Leonean public has been discussing the issue with frustration, especially at a time when the government says it’s trying to minimize expenditures.
A letter by the Office of the Sierra Leonean President reads, “The official has been relieved of her duties following a testimony she gave in a Nigerian church. Further administrative investigations will be carried out.”
Also, in a press release on Wednesday, Sierra Leone’s Anti-Corruption Commission said Kargbo is being investigated.
“The Anti-Corruption Commission has opened an official investigation into the conduct of the official and her testimony. We will also look at her source of wealth in acquiring her house and other properties. If it contradicts the anti-corruption act or we find instances of unexplained wealth, she will be charged to court and will be asked to pay a fine,” the release said.

It is good to testify but there are just somethings you have to keep to yourself.
ReplyDeleteTB Joshua will reward and compensate her. She isn't a very wise person.

She not sharp at all, who does that in an open place like that? I don't pity her one bit, it shows that her suffering is not ready to end any time soon
ReplyDelete*Larry was here*
It's spirit of poverty worrying her, oh! You know how some rappers that grew up dirt poor start seeing money, then go and remove all their teeth (when nothing is wrong with the teeth oh) to put gold or silver (awon grill) in their mouth so that everyone will know they have arrived. Then, just in case everybody didn't get the memo, the rapper will start wearing dog chain and a pendant that can blind onlookers from afar.
DeleteThe goal of the poverty spirit AKA "never hesperedit" that I just described, is to keep the person it has possessed trailer trash poor and wretched. So, these people start making insane personal decisions like the testifier and avoidable financial mistakes. It doesn't just manifest in rappers. It can also be found in some celebrities (including Ms Banana) that must buy things they never hespered to touch in life, take photos AND PUT PRICES on the 'gram to pepper their real and imaginary haters. The spirit is so evil, it can't stop at one person; it must infect everyone in the family or circle of friends.

ReplyDeleteHahahahaha... you shot yourself in the leg madam.
ReplyDeleteSo, before she came to testify, the govt of Sierra Leone didn’t know her source of wealth was suspicious and needed to be investigated?

Because it’s open now, their hands have been forced to do the needful, na God catch dem!
It's not just that. Look at where the olodo was employed - she was a presidential aide. In her position, should she be announcing her salary and perks? No. Tomorrow now, she will announce state secret she heard in the course of her job.
DeleteVery good. Soon, employers in Nigeria will follow suit. We will sit up and know that thievery and testimony are not the same when people start answering questions from EFCC after being fired after giving testimonies of, "I paid tithe and a client of the company where I work, brought full Ghana-must-go of dollars to my house in the middle of the night. Brethren, praaaaaise da Lord!"
ReplyDeleteThank you. So many people steal and call it God's favor. 😂
DeleteEyaaa... Sorry oh
ReplyDeleteSatan has used her brain to fry Akara. Oju lasan ko
ReplyDeleteNothing concerned Satan there, God did not bless her by embezzlement.

ReplyDeleteI feel sorry for her
ReplyDeleteGod did not bless her, she embezzled money then went to church to give testimony. I hope this will happen to all of them that steal, then go to church to run their mouth on the altar.
