FIFA Bans Nigerian Coach Samson Siasia For Life Over Bribe,+ $50,000 Fine To Be Paid.

FIFA has slammed a life ban on former Nigeria coach Samson Siasia. In addition, he has been fined $50,000 for agreeing to ‘the manipulation of matches.’

FIFA did not state when he committed the infractions but said the ex-Nigeria international has been notified today.

Siasia is the third African to be banned by FIFA. Former Sierra Leone FA official Abu Bakarr Kabba and former Botswana FA official Mooketsi Kgotlele were suspended in July for five years and for life respectively.

Siasia was the coach of Nigeria between 2010-2011 and for a spell in 2016. He was also the coach of Under 20 and Under 23.

    1. He ended his own career by choosing to behave in unethical and illegal practices. "Dem" did not end his career, Samson and his bad behavior did.

And it's very good for him

  3. Fifa would have stated categorically for us who don't know to get the real information very clear when the crimes were committed and the matches involved. I believe Siasia already knows exactly his crime that warranted this sanction. Not a good one if you asked me.

  4. This is a very disgraceful news. He's better off starting another line of income because he's finished in the football industry & 50k dollars! What an epic fall.

    1. That’s why you and your country will continue to remain the same. No sense of self and dignity.. you have just called yourself goods that can be sold to the highest bidder. No shame

  11. Everybody in Nigeria is in a hurry to "make it"
This is so sad. Greed has been elevated to the position of
Lord and king in many people's lives. A lot of "pulpits" aren't
helping matter as The Word of God is scarce while churches are many.
I pity anyone who does not read one's bible to learn how to navigate these
    evil times of end days.
This is sad, a very sad one for Nigeria.😢😢😢

    1. Everyone in the world is in a hurry to make it. The difference is that Nig is so lawless. No justice. So people get away with anything. No consequences for greed, stealing, bribery, corruption. None whatsoever. And over the years it has become part of us. Very shameful.

    2. U are so right 19:56. It's just so unfortunate when preachers cowardly cop out of condemning 'sin' and prefer to engage in 'motivational speaking' for fear of losing members of their congregation. On the part of the lay ppl, when some strive to provide a moral compass, others will to prevent them with the 'don't judge' and 'who holy pass' refrains. On the part of the government, it's poor dispensation of justice. Why won't evil fester in the face of it all? Ppl simply have to wake up and smell the coffee.

  18. Too bad, I feel sad for him. Has he gotten the 50m ransom placed on his mum that these ones are now adding to his burden. Hope others learn from this and act right always.

  19. I really don't know what he did but NFA is one shitty place. I remember a colleague's friend that was shortlisted to join the national under 17 and whatever team. In fact guy was at the camp only to removed cos he no get long leg. The guy came to his brother straight from the park crying.

  20. How can FIFA say they banned someone without staying clearly what he did and when he did it? Was it as a player or coach? Which matches were involved?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Good for him. People will reap what they sow in their lifetime. No longer will their children inherit the consequences of their sins. L those times you collected money to feature upcoming players in the national team and didn't, all the bad shady deals you guys have done before... You will pay in your lifetime

  22. Maybe it was a need oh. Remember they kidnapped his Mum and he needed to raise ransom.
