Yar'adua
ReplyDeleteSeconded!
DeleteLate Yaradua (God bless his soul).
ReplyDeletePresident Olusegun Obasanjo. Its not even up for debate.
ReplyDeleteπ―
DeleteI concur, Obasanjo.
DeleteYar’adua can’t compete favorably because of his ill health.
(Well most answers will be limited sha, how many experienced the Nnamdi Azikiwe/ Shehu Shagari / Ayeolowo eras?)π
@Mystic
DeleteFrom 1999!
Waawuuu, obasanjo is one of those that made Nigeria handicap π€·πΎ♀️
Delete@1:29, true I just noted that, thanks.
DeleteObasanjo.Nigeria was delivered on a clean slate to him. He should have set a standard but he failed woefully.
DeleteGod
ReplyDeleteAs in eh...if not Him. Hmm.
DeleteYaradua(not sure with the spelling)
ReplyDeleteWhat exactly did he implement as a ground changing policy in his 2years of presidency?
DeleteWhat many thought was a performing economy by him was nothing but a spill over of good governance from obasanjo's time as president.
Yaradua NEVER ACHIEVED ANYTHING AS PRESIDENT in this country.
LEPπ
Well fuel price drop and he increased salary.. That directly affected me
DeleteFmr President Obasanjo, follow by former President GEJ. I'll talk about our current President when he complete his tenure.
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to the first one π.
DeleteNone
ReplyDeleteOBJ
ReplyDelete1. Cleared the debt (with okonjo)
2. Cleared fake drugs (with Akunyili)
3. Polithieftians (even ruling party) went to jail c/o Ribadu;
a. Alamesiagha
b. Tafa Balogun; police
c. James Ibori
4. Due process nipped sleaze in the bud (c/o Ezekwesili) -government contract fraud was reduced.
5. Security was better
That is not to say that Obj was clean or perfect...but the best we had.
He also brought GSM π
Delete@18:38
DeleteIt was due to the above policies that the GSM companies considered Nigeria a business-worthy
place. Nobody pours investments in places where corruption reigns supreme.
But while Baba Iyabo worked for the Nigerian good, his deputy was looting.
God bless you for that comment. OBJ remains the all time best.
DeleteYou are very correctπ
DeleteLEPπ
Anon 19.03 trust me, if his deputy was looting as u alledged, Buhari would have long used it against him and wouldn't have allowed him to contest...
DeleteππΌ Bless you.
DeleteAnd he did well when it came to being blind to tribal/religious fault-lines. He put square pegs in square holes irrespective of their origin/religion. He went over and beyond to source for technocrats for sensitive positions in the country and this helped awaken the economy. He was also a very good administrator, fully (I repeat FULLY) in charge of the affairs of the country he was governing, no rubbish CABAL instructing him on what to do or say.
Make no mistake, he was also corrupt, very corrupt. However, show me another president that had as much positive impact as he did.
Mama Mia, you are right.
Delete@Mama mia
DeleteIf Buhari tried that, all the "big wigs" of his government would have been roped in: Bola, Fash, Osho,
Sylva, even OBJ who was his boss in the Army. Army people would have been on his neck because they don't
work like that.
A looting continuaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
GEJ with the way he tackled the dreaded ebola and social media bullying.
ReplyDeleteYaradua....and
ReplyDeleteObasanjo..his carrot n stick method.
Late yaradua unfortunately he didn't stay long... Followed by OBJ he was the smartest and have character but of course he is too selfish and can destroy destroy a million to save a thousand.
ReplyDeleteThe others don't deserve rating, one is too weak and the other too strong albeit both character is leading us to debt through massive corruption and cabal like administration.
Who will be our Messiah, I don't trust anything anyone say anymore, revolution, decentralization, true federalism, etc. RIP yaradua
Nigeria ojojumo l'anji riya, wonni kamaasadua, where is Mr yaradua
Abdulsalami Abubakar a retired Nigerian Army General he was Military Head of State from 9 June 1998 until 29 May 1999. He is my best Nigerian leader till date. I felt really bad when he left and stayed by his promise of handing over power to a civilian government (democratic government). Democracy wrecked Nigeria π³π¬.... The democratic government have done more harms than good to the people of Nigeria.
ReplyDeleteI will not fault Sani Abacha military head of state 1993-1998... His government was strict but, everything was fine in Nigeria. Government officials actually did what they were placed in office to do.
But abdusalami didn't do anything na. No development but I'll say he was a good military president.
DeleteMs A, if I may ask, what happened to all the looted funds General Abubakar recovered? Especially Abachas' own?
DeleteWhat did he ever do to better the country? My sister, Please refresh my memory perhaps I've forgotten...
What was fine during abacha regime? Have heard of abacha stove, life was more difficult then than now
DeleteMy bad, I thought the question was from 1990 to 1999.
ReplyDeleteThe best civilian president so far in Nigeria was Mathew Obasanjo, the no nonsense man.
Yar'Adua did well too but he was already too weak before he even became the president. Obasanjo just had to keep to his promise, I mean, he had promised his cell mate that he will never forget him and Yar'Adua was the promise.
Sorry, I didn't see this before commenting.
DeleteNow you're talking.
For me it's Obj because, he fits the country like a glove! Followed by GEJ because he had the Countrys' best at heart...
have we ever had a president let alone, best
ReplyDeleteGowon
ReplyDeleteKelvin Dat Edo Boi (Stellz Cousin)
Obasanjo followed by GEJ
ReplyDeleteGEJ
ReplyDeleteStella for president ✔️π€π€π
ReplyDeletePermit me to wish you a happy birthday here. More grace. More power. More everything.
You're a star indeed. God bless you.
Goodluck Jonathan. The meekest and selfless of them all. God bless you sir.
ReplyDeleteMarwa
ReplyDeleteOlusegun Obasanjo no debate.
ReplyDeleteOlusegun Mathew Okikiola Aremu Obasanjo
ReplyDeleteLate Shehu Musa Yar'Adua too
Hia! Momma didn't come to playππππ. Didn't even know those were his names too.
DeleteChoice momma ππππππ
DeleteOBJ the undisputed one... Anyone who wants to argue should step out for a debate.
ReplyDeletePresident Olusegun Obasanjo is the president Nigeria has had since the inception of democracy.
ReplyDeleteLet me not forget to state that Obasanjo is also the architect of our failed democracy.
The rest presidents, only followed suit in the blue print of democratic recklessness and corruption that laid as a foundation for our country Nigeria.
LEPπ
Olusegun Obasanjo ( For helping in creating Nigerian Constitution and many more).
ReplyDeleteAnd General Murtala Mohammed ( the way he fired corrupt public servants).
Atiku Abubakar, the most corrupt free vice president and incoming president Nigeria has ever had.
ReplyDeleteSay what!!!
Deleteπ¬π¬π¬π¬π¬really!!
DeleteDonald Trump
Deleteππππππ Anon I give up on you
DeleteOBJ
ReplyDeleteYaradua the best presido ever
ReplyDeleteObasamma and his successor, GEJ.
ReplyDeleteInfact from Independence till date, based on the history of Nigeria ‘s leadership & what I observed & experienced OBJ did it for me.
ReplyDeleteYaradua
ReplyDeletesai baba ππ»♂️
ReplyDeleteGEJ. In 2014 he donated 3.5million dollars and sent 591 volunteers to Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone to Combat ebola. He successfully eliminated the plague in Nigeria without the help of any foreign government. He is the one president we had that ruled with his heart.
ReplyDeletestella I'm with you on this.
ReplyDeleteGEJ, things I can afford easily during his regime, I cannot dream of them now.
ReplyDelete
