Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) confirmed this in a statement on their official website on Monday.
The termination of the contract of the former Super Eagles player came on the heels of the East African ouster from the group stage of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The Tanzania side lost all three group stage matches – 2-0 to Senegal, 3-2 to Kenya and 3-0 to Algeria.
Amuneke was appointed on August 6, 2018, as the Tanzania football national team coach.

ReplyDeleteThey don't waste time at all
ReplyDeleteHe's not giving them what they want
ReplyDeleteThis guy won the u17 world cup with a Nigerian team. it is time to find a clubside in any African country.
ReplyDeleteBut he qualified them after so many years. Wicked FA.
ReplyDelete@Tbabe. Na really wicked FA. Country wey never qualify since over 39yrs. Na now dem know say indegenious coach is good. They are going no where. Lai lai. That’s their end.
ReplyDeleteI don't envy coaches. Thankless job. After 39years you get there yet you terminate who made it possible. If Tanzania didn't qualify they wouldn't have sacked him. He would have simply maintained the status quo. Now he has opened their minds to possibility of even winning. We celebrate you my brother.
ReplyDeleteThat's how it works in the world of football. There is no room for patience
ReplyDeleteYes..oh there's no time to check time in any sports coaching job!
