Buratai who made the pledge when he paid a courtesy visit to the Lagos State governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu at Lagos House, Alausa, Ikeja pledged that the Nigeria Army would continue to play its role of ensuring security and safety in Lagos and the entire country.
The Chief of Army Staff who was accompanied on the visit by the military high command including the General Officer Commanding 81 Division, Major General Sanni Yusuf said he was in Lagos for the Combat Support Arms Training week and Nigeria Army Day Celebration 2019.

He solicited for the patronage of the Nigerian Army Engineer Corps saying they can do a lot for the state in the area of infrastructure, roads and other construction works.
Buratai wished Sanwo-Olu a successful tenure in office and informed him that they are coming back to the state later in the year for a major military activity tagged, “Exercise Crocodile Smile.”
Nice one.
ReplyDeleteI just hope they don't pick up innocent citizens.
When will these animals dance in Benue? When will they dance in Borno? In plateu? In places attacked by herdsmen. Thought they will dance with same energency as it was done somewhere in the East? All the animals need to dance at once if dancing will bring a lasting solution
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, the same 'animals' you want to dance in those states are behind the sponsors of those crimes. One problem with Nigeria is that, we sugarcoat things a lot. We don't call things the way they are. I love the description you gave to them @same girl. Apologies to the animals, for animals are even better than them.
DeleteWhich one are they launching to tackle the Fulani herders raping and killing indigenous people after destroying their farms across the South? This is another deception to give their kinsmen (herdsmen) the cover to settle down fully in Lagos. What's this I am even hearing that Lagos now has an Emir. This sound funny and ridiculous at the same time. Have the Yorubas forgotten the history on how they lost ilorin to the Caliphate? This is becoming interesting. History has a funny way of repeating itself. They may have expunged history from the school curriculum but we know the story too well to understand this gimmicks posed by the caliphate.
ReplyDeleteTeejay there is even an obi self.
DeleteSealord, you and I know very well there's a big difference between the Obi and the Emir. The Obi as you said does he control a section or part of Lagos? Does he has a kingdom back with law in lagos? But wait and see how an Emirate will be created soon for this newly installed Emir. Only but then you will understand what I am saying now.
Deleteany effort to curb crime is a welcome development.kudos to the state govt and Nigerian army
ReplyDeleteCrocodile no dey smile now except e wan swallow something.
ReplyDeleteThe major miscreants we have in lagos are the "Nigerian police and SARS"...if the really want to fight security challenges they should look into those two legal thugs then they can say they are doing a good job.
ReplyDeleteLEP😛
Did you forget the thiefnubu thugs @ every bustps ?
DeleteI think that Nigerians need to begin to appreciate the Nigerian Army for their job so far. This country would have been in shambles by now without the Military
ReplyDeleteLol... So what were their duties in the first place if we are to praise them? Are they on charitable job or are being paid in what they do? So we should also praise Buhari for driving us comfortably into recession cos he is a president okwaya? Smh... How many times have they dance in Borno, Zamfara, Yobe and Benue? If only you know the atrocities these force men you are advocating praises for commit on the regular, you will bury your head in shame and weep for this country.
DeletePls take your operation no smile to Zamfara, Katsina, Kaduna,Bornu to curb bandits, bokoharam. The security situation in that area needs holistic measures to be taking. The citizens over there will appreciate it more.
ReplyDeleteHave you finished securing us from Boko haram & killer herdsman
ReplyDeleteDon't mind them. Misplaced priorities. Nigeria is not just a joke but a monumental mess.
DeletePlease start with the Agberos in the street and parks.thanks
