      I started as a caregiver and that is shit cleaning,bathing,shopping,cooking and washing toilet for sick people.( pray they don't send you to a family that belittles someone like the last I will never forget , it made me made a decision for myself) all for $12 an hour before tax o!
      From there I became a CNA,went back to school and got my RN license. Today, I'm a military nurse and thinking of going for my masters.
      It doesn't matter where you started but the direction and focus. I'm rooting for all my beautiful women out there.

    babies home there -a very large one.
    I used to go there (even before I married), play with the kids, wash their clothes (hand washing. They used napkins so it will be so soiled 🤮🤮🤮). I bought the detergents and
    bleach bottles to do it. Help in dressing them up. I knew all their
    stories. I felt so fulfilled and
    happy doing it. When DH came into the
    picture, I took him there to see them,
    though I did not let him do the washings. I took my kids there and always reminded them of kids without
    parents whenever they complained of one thing or the other.

    If you are a Christian, try this thing I am telling you and see another perspective to life... the joy and blessings that it brings.
    You could end up adopting a champion
    from there, who knows...?

      ANG That is so true at your last paragraph.
      I used to do many of those things... The joy of serving the less privilege without getting physically paid for it is out of this world.

      The peace I feel when I return home after going for hospital visitation, running errands for those sick people and getting drugs for the AIDs/HIV patients, sharing the word of God and words of encouragement with them.

      Visiting those mentally ill people, sharing food and eating with them.
      There's fulfillment in being selfless.

      I think I am no longer doing enough due to some life setback, but I will continue from where I have lacked behind soon by God's grace.

      People have different reasons for doing what they do.
      I did mine because I know there is after life and I have my reward.
      If you (as a Christian) do not do it, you will not get the blessing of
      those that do. Do you get dividends when you do not buy shares?
      A lot of us want all the blessings available in God's kingdom but you
      won't like to apply the principles; "give and it shall be given unto you..."
      Luke 6:38. Giving your time and resources to those who cannot pay you back (like
      Mrs. A mentioned above 👆) is so fulfilling.
      The fact that someone cannot for e.g. pack shit does not mean she/he is not doing
      a lot of other charitable work. If you give them money, donate blood for the sick,
      donate soap, diapers (which I did then but it is never enough especially during the
      harmattan when the kids are sick etc.), you will still be helpful The owner of this
      blog reaches out to indigent people from time to time, people give out recharge cards
      etc. etc. Some may not have but they pray for some others etc. ...
