    1. I don't like eating at ceremonies. I make sure I fill my stomach before stepping out. Even if the serve me other people at the table will eat it because I will not eat. But will take drinks.

  11. Yeah, party food dey sweet, but I learnt my lesson long time ago.
In the late nineties, my dear rich uncle had died and there was a state burial for him. You know the type, were every one from far and near will be around and the whole compound filled with new faces.

I have always love goat meat especially fried one, that Saturday afternoon, they were sharing jollof rice with meat but, I didn't accept my plate of rice because it was not served with goat meat and one of the Ìyàwó went to report me to my dad and my dad immediately called me and scolded me that afternoon that I started crying 😢.

I will never forget that day.... I learnt never to put my mind in party food and any food at all that I didn't cook in my own house.
I learnt a very big lesson that day, all thanks to my dad.

  17. It pains me a lot when i don't get small chops or souvenirs ..though i don't need it ..i just don't know why

  18. Especially the pretence that comes with forming the I-don't- care kinda thing, but deep down you're cursing or either praying a server sights and come your way . I will never constitute nuisance because of that though. It's usually crazy watching women especially, trying to catch up with servers while screaming È ti fun wa lounje nibi!!(we've not been served here).Meanwhile, they've got spare bags underneath the table where they are stacking away different food. Once, their bags gets filled, you'll see them dancing seriously, before you know it,they are gone. While other guest gets nothing to eat.

  20. Meen it was like a curse those days, party food no dey reach me no matter what! be it wedding, burial, naming ceremony etc. If I sit in front the food service will start from the back, if I sit at the back food will start at the front. Its is either it didn't get to my row, I was omitted, or they assume I don't want, or I pass my food to a guy not counted on my row, something must always go wrong. If you attend the function with me, then you need your A game or food no go reach you.

I think my problem was that of shyness, cos I will never ask and if you do not give me I wont stretch my hand. So I make sure I eat very well before going and do not expect to eat at any function. Thank God is all in the past now. I had to deliberately break the jinx one party at a time unless the food no make sense. lol

  25. It's really really painful. One time I was even helping the waiter pass the plates down the table, until everybody got food and then it was just me left. That scammer left to bring the remaining plate and never came back😭😭😭😭.
I don't know which hurts more, the fact that my good killed me , or the pitying glances my table mates kept sliding my way😭😭😭😭.

  31. Let me give you all a secret ..call one of the waiters tell her you will tip her wella if she takes care of your table . This has always worked for me no food that they won't bring to my table because of this others at my desk benefit to.and after the party I always drop money depending on how much I hv to part with ..what's the point say I come party I no see food chop.
