DeleteSandra, belated is used when the birthday has passed. In this case, his birthday is in 4 days.
DeleteNice one. If only those in charge will allow the food and drinks get to the prisoners.
ReplyDeleteThey do! Once its food and drinks. They let them have them! But if its sachet provision, forget it. When visiting the prisons, take cooked meal, lots of bathroom slippers, Bibles and if a catholic, rosary.
DeleteBut detergents, milk any kind of beverage or mede mede, forget it.
Its always a humbling experience.
My love for his two is unexplanable ππππππ

U ppl shud reason well.
DeleteNever thought of going back to prisons independently to do something like this.
ReplyDeleteI know myself, I will go there and bawl my eyes out,They might throw me out. To think that some might be innocentπ’π’π’ I can’t bear it.
May God bless you Teddy for going to a place we sometimes forget and setting them up.
Iphie, you are so much like me, I wish I knew you in real life... π€π€π€
DeleteLots of innocent people Iphie, If you go to the female side you will cry. No sanitary towels, they use rags. Some have given birth, Some their bail is set at 30, 50k. I have gone twice and i was come back crying. The catholic organization i belong to visited the male section, Jesus Christ i was crying during praise and worship, prayer section nko? They started consoling me, They asked we visit again, All they asked for was Bibles, Chaplets and Bathroom slippers, We took 400pcs of cooked food, drinks and slippers, Didnt go round, they are over 600.
DeleteA lady had a guy run up to her, she started screaming. Wetin happen? They have been looking for the guy for 2years, his family just gave up hope believing he was dead. Dude went out with friends, policemen caught them coming back from party, told them to bail themselves, no money, young lads. They branded them thieves, they landed in kirikri. For 2years no way to reach his people, any group who visits and he sends message, they don't deliver the message, he kept on hoping and believing till that day.
We got out and the lady called the family, Mehn forget it, Almost everyone left with teary eyes.
Very thoughtful of him!! Well done Teddy A!!
ReplyDeleteNice of him
ReplyDeleteSo nice of them, Weldon Bamteddy
ReplyDeleteNice of you Teddy A, happy birthday in advance
ReplyDeleteVery thoughtful of him.
ReplyDeleteAww very good. Happy birthday Teddy. May God bless you for this wondrous work. Very thoughtful of you.
ReplyDeleteI could remember last year when we went to Kuje prison to sensitize the inmates about our foundation and we took some gift items. We weren't allowed to see the inmates but the prison officials wanted to take the items, we blatantly refused because giving the officials the items and not talking to the inmates mean we won't achieve our aim of going there and we wanted them to know what the foundation was all about. When the officials saw we were adamant and wanted to take all the gift items back, they had no choice but to bring three of their best inmate(excos) I guess, because they were looking good and well fed although their stories touched us. That is one experience I'll not forget in a long time. #thehardestprisontoescapeisyourmind.
He’s been there before, he sure knows how it feels.
