ReplyDeleteAs a child my father bought a brand new Peagout for 7k. I remember tearing the nylon covering. And the smell-heavenly. Today I am struggling, scrimping, saving to buy fairly used car. The 7k can't even buy a tyre.

DeleteThen, the monetary value of 3 thousand may be about three million or even more of our present rate. Then, someone whose take home salary is 500 Naria is considered rich.
ReplyDeleteIt was a huge amount of money back then but even at that,the cost of living in Nigeria was not as high as it is presently.
