Nigerian Man Slams TVC 'Your View' Presenters For ''Looking Nauseating'' On Air..

WOW.... Mr Gboyega says he tuned on to the station to watch but had to change stations when he saw four wigs staring back at him...LOL

What is your view on his piece?

I tuned in to TVC on this particular day as well and I reserve my comment......I think the message this man tried to pass across is lost in the harshness of his words.....
The 'Your view' team must have seen this and I guess they will respond on Monday or ignore....LOL....

    1. Lmao!He sounds so pained. This rant is funny.

I somehow,remotely...somehow somehow get what he means though. If those women turned their backs and you could only see their hair, you would think they were Caucasians .All four of them.
That doesn't mean though that they think whites are more superior. They probably didn't give it a thought. They just want to look good. It isn't any deeper than that. Wigs are convenient and makeup, when well done, is beautiful.
I have had natural hair for almost 5yrs......because my scalp hates relaxers.I don't use makeup....because I put in so much effort on my skin and I like to show my results off. It isn't any deeper than that.Wigs and makeup don't make us less 'black'.There are all kinds of beauty and none is inferior to the other.
If you think wearing wigs and makeup mean we have low self-esteem, then raise your own daughters to put all their confidence in looks.Live and let live. You can't expect everybody to live by your own personal ideologies.
*humming India Arie's I am not my hair....

    4. @Kamikaze... I think this man wants to toe the line of those irresponsible black American men. Anything you ask those ones about black women always circles back to how black women hate themselves because they wear wigs 🙄🙄🙄 as if other women don't wear wigs. I really hope Nigerian men don't become like that.
I dunno how wearing a wig makes you less black, after all, silk pressed or straightened natural hair is straight just like a wig and if it's long enough it can be mistaken for a wig.
Yes, it would be nice to have our natural texture represented more in the media but to flat out demand that they wear Afros or cornrows is just plain crazy and entitled.
I hope some of those 'feminists' (for lack of a better word) will descend on him.

  2. Lol😀😀😀😀 @ the program should be called "our wig".

  3. Since when has wearing of wigs become nauseating?
People should be allowed to wear whatever they are comfortable with so long they are not walking naked.

  4. ‘.Our wigs’ 🙄🤣🤣🤣🤦🏻‍♀️.
I think their wigs were blocking their faces(his view) and they were looking ridiculous in it.

  5. To be true their makeup person, goes overboard all the time.
This poster is a mind reader, kilode ? Hair yangayanga.....
Like 3 days ago Tope wore an off shoulder and the grease on her skin would do for 2 more women.
Mind you, they are all smart and beautiful ladies and they make my mornings, but l just view beyond their wardrobe and makeup.
    I love "your view" ladies.

    1. Because these women are more than the hair and the makeup. It isn't a hair and makeup show after all. The show is a good one.

    2. @Kamikaze, please share your skincare routine, especially for your face. I'd like to have a fresh face and youthful glow.
      Thanks.

  11. I think I get his point
Diversity in appearance is good, not all looking similar
The personality of each person should shine through and refect in their appearance
Wigs hiding their faces and facial expression

    The smell part
    Well
    Hear dust sweat
    And some are not conscious
    Even you come close
    Its odour galore
The same wig , braids, weaveon continuously for 3wks or more can start smelling funky

  12. Self-hating African women on the prowl. They should have them use Whitenicious aggressively for a month before going on air to fulfill their whiteness.

    1. 🤣 don't mind these men! They will ask you to wear cornrows but if you check they are keeping side chicks with the most artificial hair, body and makeup. Tomorrow if you ask them, they will say it's because their wives did not look sexy for them. Annoying people!!

TVC should not even take this man and his complaints seriously. It's so good to know he changed the station. Bully of a man.
I pity his wife or whomever he's dating. Oh well, his type doesn't even talk when it comes to his woman.

  16. The man should please go and watch something else and leave the programme for those of us who watch with joy. Do those beautiful Nigerian ladies look like his wife or girlfriend that he insults at will and forces to comb afro or make ghana-weaving that has now turned them semi-bald?

Jumoke, YK, Uwa, Tope and obiajulu wore/wear their natural hair. How many times did he post about how beautiful they looked on those days? It's okay to grab a keypad at 9am in the morning to criticise women who woke up at 4am, prepared children for school, do a few other chores, drive in Lagos traffic, read about 5/6 newspapers back to back to give analysis and still look great on TV.

He just carries his balding head to the barber's to skin for five minutes and thinks it's easy to comb/manage "kinky natural African hair" every single day. Who did his watching or not watching epp? Does his company place adverts on Your View. Let him go and remove their wigs na. Mtscheeeeew...

    1. Don't mind the fool. Judging women by how they look and not what they have to offer.
      These are the issues

    2. No mind am. Infact wigs have saved most women from so many things. I pity his wife cos she will end up following to the barber to shave off her hair. Managing natural hair is not easy same as combing it everyday. It’s not everyday you braid your hair. They say we should allow our hair breathe, we come de wear wigs so that in the evening our hair will be let out, it still de pepper some men like this one. They women should not mind him oh. So long as they keep their wigs and hair nice, tidy and clean, they are good to go.

    3. Don’t mind the male chauvinist. His type will give his wife troubles about her looks and then goes out to get himself a Barbie doll wannabe as a side piece.. Not a follower of the show but I might start watching because of him.

    6. Lookatew! 15:08 😂😂😂 I won’t even lie I have become addicted to wigs because it is easier and all. The feeling of coming home to remove the wig from my head and toss aside....#purebliss When I decide to rock my natural hair nko? The compliments are out of this world. We are just all for doing what one wants to do, enjoying the beauty in diversity but sadly you don’t know what that is. 🤭😂😂😂

  20. Oga leave them with their wigs. Is it your wig? If you don’t like the programme kindly change the channel like you did but don’t come and be hating on their choice of appearance online. Not like they look tacky sef.
Well like the programme says, I guess this is ‘your view’.

  21. I can so relate with the man's sentiment honestly.
Too much of everything is bad, the wig, the makeup, the over contouring and highlighting aaaah, bikoo it's just too much.

  22. I'm always on wig, which i remove only at home; because I'm a cancer patient; I'm often on chemotherapy hence the bald hair. At times you don't know what people are passing through.
So, if this man sees me now, he'll come & say, why is it that this girl is always on wig. Who he epp? You should allow others to do what they like. Live & Let Live!!

Besides "My View" is one of the best programs on TVC News.
    Ride on Ladies.
That man is just a bully.

I don't think it's enough for all of u ladies 2 start insulting him. Truth be told, wen u take a very good look @ d 4 of dem in dat pix, dey seriously look like toys.
