    I hope there are legal receipts of those payments..... At least, paying taxes shouldn't be a difficult thing for you to do.

    Is there a period or season in Nigeria when people go to file for their taxes and returns?
    I want to know how this is done.

      Ms A, do you live in the Uk? I know here in UK we file for taxes in April which is beginning of a new tax year. I doubt Nigeria has taken this tax thing serious, coz i wonder how they check it. In UK everyone has NI and u cannot run away from paying tax.

      Yes there is. Employees pay PAYE taxes monthly. Self employed persons are required to file annual income tax returns.

      In a bid to brag she just exposed herself to the tax authorities. She's lucky she lives in Nigeria.

      No, I don't live in the UK but, I know that tax declaration/filings are always done in the month of March/April in most European countries and even in the US.
      I also did mine last month...

      The way most Nigerian flaunts wealth and riches online sometimes gets me thinking about this tax thing.

      I am surprised the way Toke is just bragging about getting paid for the events she attends just like that.

    Obviously. When people were calling her mtn, she was collecting her money, no matter how small.
    The truth is that these people depend on our reactions and wave to make it.

    They call each other out falsely and we swoop into the news. Arguing day and night. While they laugh in their houses.
    They call out their spouses, we die there! We discuss it, spread it, hear it on the radio... What happens? They cash out. Brands pay them. People want to be papped with them at events. You cal them controversial, shallow business owners and producers see MONEY.

    They upload this same drama on You tube, You view it, what happens? They get PAID!!
    They get more followers on IG and then open up a business, same followers cussing them day and night go ahead and buy these products😁

    And you sit down again this minute and doubt Toke🤣🤣🤣

      The issue with folks is whst they don’t know, they question. Now some lie, but only a small mind ignorant of the social scene in Nigeria will not believe that influencers, like Toke, whether people like to admit that she has an effect on them or nit, get paid for their presence at events. Even in other countries. Marketing has changed. Build your brand any ehich way, have a strong following on Social Media, and fitting businesses will seek you out.
