Arriving at the retreat weeks before the final episode, he is being supported by his wife Rose Leslie, who played Wildling Ygritte in the show.
Page Six were told by one of Kit’s friends: “The end of Game of Thrones really hit Kit hard.He realised ‘this is it — this is the end’, it was something they had all worked so hard on for so many years. He had a moment of, what next?
“He’s in the clinic predominantly for stress and exhaustion and also alcohol.
His wife Rose is being extremely supportive. Everyone close to him really wanted him to get some rest. Right now, he just needs peace and quiet.”
What’s more, a rep for the actor has confirmed: “Kit has decided to utilise this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues.”
Whilst at the $120,000-a-month retreat, Kit has been receiving cognitive behaviour therapy and psychological coaching to deal with his issues.

*This show is appearing to be Demonic oh...I dont want my mind geared towards this thought but i have read of some of the actors having problems...One was suicidal and another one broke down completely.....Na wah!!!....I am yet to watch the Finale,I am yet to.......*excitedly scared*hehehehe
He would be fine
ReplyDeleteShows how much of a good actor he is,he’ll be fine.i love you Jon,stay strong and remember that it’s just a movie character
DeleteI won’t lie o. There is something about the show. It was damn sooooo captivating. I watched everything in less than a month. I was shook myself. I understand him completely. I wasn’t even in the show and I know how I felt.
ReplyDeleteKit is my man crush forever. I dream of him. I scream at the sight of him on my screen every time. Oh Kit! I love you so bad.
Hmm,kilode?
DeleteGet well soon.
Me too,had to slap myself many times to remind me that I’m not in the movie and that it’s not real life,I completely abandoned my phone sef
DeleteEeyah! Right step in right direction. Speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteNormally, John snow smokes & drinks, then imagine spending much time as they did in Iceland where the temperature is -5 degrees, how much do u think an average drinker will consume without even feeling it...
DeleteTHats why hes in rehab.
It has nothing to do with demons, na wa o.... africans and imaginary spirits & demons, your demons are face to face with you yet ud shake hands with them, some even fuck them for money.
It is just the stress and nothing else
ReplyDeleteI think they got too emotionally attached to their roles. My opinion
Stella there is nothing demonic about the show...I guess the stress of shooting the series for over a year plus the fact that almost 10years of their lives doing just the show is over....when a regular event/activity in once life ends it could trigger alot of unknown emotions like I remember falling sick the week I returned home after graduating uni,the excess free time and no more class routine or hostel stress got to me.so it happens
ReplyDeleteLEP😛
So true. I felt so useless. After all the stress then puff nothing to do.
DeleteGod bless you...i felt empty. Like i should be doing something..anything
DeleteGet well soon Jon Snow
ReplyDeleteStella, sometimes if we put all our effort and energy into certain projects, we can break down when it ends. When you eat, sleep, think and dream of that thing, you will finally accomplish it and still feel unaccomplished. Everyone will be wondering why you are not celebrating but they wont understand that you are drained. It has happened to me before and I did not understand it at the time.
ReplyDeleteIt happens to people who are very passionate about stuff. They hardly seperate themselves from the project at hand until reality hits. And for something like GOT?? Its a lot
Exactly. Nine years or more stuck in a role,a personality, a world from the real world.. these actors take their roles to heart and might require therapy to function properly in the real world..
DeleteLittle wonder Maisie and Sophie were constantly vaping on set, guess his coping mechanism was alcohol..
Who knew that the end of the series would affect him so hard?
ReplyDeleteBut this makes sense actually since there was tea that he's an addict and has been using + being sloppy and it could get in the way of his career now GOT is over.
Alcoholic. Not drugs.
DeleteCocaine. I ain't talking about this post, it's an incog tea.
DeleteOversabi Perxian
DeleteIphie dearie, Alcohol is drug. Drug is a collective word used for different types of drugs of abuse. Alcohol is sitting pretty on that table please use your Google. Alcohol also get addicted to alcohol and have withdrawal syndromes when at certain levels of consumption.
DeleteCocaine. I ain't talking about this post but an incog tea.
Delete14:26 Undersabi anon
Wow! I know hes checked in for Alcohol addiction in the past. Didn't know he did COKE!! COKE!!!😩😩😩
Deleteall these ones acting drama for us everyday on instagram, they need the rehab more sef.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realise 'Jon Snow' and the 'Widling girl' were married in real life. Cool!
ReplyDeleteGOT has been an integral part of them for years. Jon Snow had this bigger than life character that stressed him over the years. He shot in the cold,in the dark..with so much emotions. I remember after Heath Ledger played that Joker character he also felt depressed.
ReplyDeleteThe ending part of GOT is enough to get someone all in their feelings.
I feel gutted and super sad and I am just a fan.
I saw a BTS of when he found out he was the one to kill Dany, I felt it😩
I love him and I wish him well😍
Iphie , thank you o jare. No be only demonic.
DeleteGOT has been their lives for 10 years. It was huge and they never thought it will be this big. Jon snow met his wife on that set. They are all like family now, they built relationships so yeah it is understandable. He will be fine.10 years is no joke.
lol. he was shook, rolled his chair back and forth again, covered his face with his hands, lol. it's physical and mental stress, he would be fine afterall he is Jon snow, the only one who has been to the land of the dead and came back whole 😎😋.
DeletePrecisely, Iphie, my Peach. People easily label stuff they don't understand.
DeleteRonalda hmmmm
DeleteLeave iphie alone
#lesbian alert#
Ewwwww! Darling, get your mind out of the gutter. You hear hoofbeats and imagine Zebras? If you don't know my relationship with Iphie on this blog, you must be relatively new.
DeleteAnon: Exactly.
DeleteRonaldaaa😍😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘 I almost never see you anymore here! I am soooo happy I came back to read comments again.
Pipi!!! I love Jon!!
Yeah Ify you're right. I am a super GOT fan, fanatic sef and since I watched the last episode, I have been experiencing withdrawal symptoms over the fact that its over. So, I can only imagine how they must feel - the actors. It must be very tough on them emotionally and Kit looks like a sensitive guy. You know at one panel they had a few years ago, he was the only one who had read the entire ice and fire books that were written at that time. I was impressed. It shows he really takes his job to heart.
DeleteWas it the GOT finale we watched abi another.I am still disappointed sef, still waiting for the return of GOT.get well soon oo
ReplyDeleteReturn to where?
DeleteThey shouldn't return. The one they have done "have do!"
SMH. Dem never talk wetin dey do am. Shebi when someone said he didn't understand how people that say they're Christians can be so crazy about this thing, people came for him. And when one of the sons of Mike Bamiloye was shouting that there's something wrong with a TV show that was created to portray Lucifer as someone who's merely misunderstood, people called him names. E remain for some people to find and beat am.
ReplyDeleteSome of you, when we're telling you certain things, you don't hear. It's like we want to be too holy for our own good. That's why with your own hands and money, you will bring things into your own house that will destroy your life and ruin your children. You think those of us that are in/have worked in any part of the entertainment industry in any country, run from certain things cos we have two heads? Lol!
Get rid of your backward and archaic mentality
DeleteThings are never as they seem
ReplyDeleteStellz, we are all wired differently and have different thresholds for emotional issues. This show started about 10 years ago and most of the cast members became like family, travelling from different locations in different countries. Sometimes having to work together over 50 hours a week. Bonds are strengthened, some even to some form of co-dependency. Remember it was on this show he met his wife, goes to show how intense acting with a particular character or characters can be.
ReplyDeleteAnother point is, being one of the major characters, he was being paid mega bucks per episode. Imagine being financially secure and fortified for 10 years of your life and all of a sudden, your source of income is winding down and you can't see any project in the works which will help maintain the lifestyle you're already used to. That has to be nerve wracking!
Most brilliant actors so adapt the characters they play that they can tell one from the other and fantasy gets interwoven with reality. A lot of actors including Anthony Hopkins have needed some mental help after acting certain roles. I know Hilary Swank had a mental breakdown during the filming of MILLION DOLLAR BABY, they had to fly in her boyfriend for moral and psychological support.
It's very normal in long running shows for cast members to break down and have all sorts of issues at the close of the show. Withdrawal syndrome of some sort. Even I get dreary when I hear some of my favourite TV shows announces their final season, I get emotional. People handle stuff differently. What makes "A" crack may feel like just a slap on the wrist of "B".
My Lady! Love reading your comments❤️
DeleteAbsolutely Ronalda. I myself have had withdrawal symptoms over the end of GOT. I feel like I'm going through a break up of some sort. I can only imagine how the actors must feel. I loved GOT like no other show and probably will never love any other show as much. Its heartbreaking!
DeleteIphie my love drop, it's always nice "bumping" into you every now and then. I planned on trolling you one Sunday when I had too much of time on my hands. Alas! You were nowhere to be found, eventually I ran outta steam. 😀😀😀😀😀😀.
DeleteDre honey, true confection... I'm yet to meet a bigger GOT fan than my humble self. I bluntly refused to reveal my "true identity" on this blog. Lol. I methodically avoided all GOT convo and pretended not to care. I can quote lines from season 1-7. I even go online to take GOT fan quizzes. No sweetie, I'm not jobless, I'm a practicing lawyer, a wife and a mother of 3 angels, yet I find time for all things GOT related, and you thought you had it bad, no?
Do you know how I got over the season finale? Remember they took last year off, I used that opportunity to watch season 1-7 about 5 consecutive times. As in I will watch session 1-7, then start all over again till the fifth repeat, all the while reminding myself that the inevitable end is near. Winter, indeed, has come. After the beheading of Ned in season 1 and the red wedding in season 3 (I'm yet to recover from the shock, by the way), I was prepared for anything in season 8. They still managed to shock me, though, but I was already mentally and emotionally ready to say goodbye to arguably one of the greatest shows ever, whichever way it went. I just wish it had a better ending... oh well! At least Tyrion survived. Lol.
If i had been in a sane climate, i would've needed help to cope with 24 coming to an end, i mean i didn't know how to move on, so i went back and started from season one. it happens when you become so invested in something and all of a sudden, there is an end to it, the finality just hits you, and sometimes you don't know how to deal.
ReplyDeleteyet to watch the season 8
Ever since I saw the final episode I’ve not been able to watch another movie,I’m just taking my time,I’ve even lost interest in my bf as I dream about Jon snow
DeleteI hope he gets better
ReplyDeleteGet well soon Jon snow
ReplyDeletei cried when it ended. i never wanted it to end.
ReplyDeletei refuse talking to anyone through that day, i couldn't even eat.
yea i was that attached to the movie.
see i am a big time game of thrones fan but i cannot deny my sef coconut rice with plantain and chicken bcoz of GoT mbanu.
DeleteI believe you cuz I know what I went through too
DeleteDemonic? Oh please! 😀😀😀 it's withdrawal syndrome and that sense of loss nothing more.
ReplyDeleteHe'll be just fine. He has all the support he needs to readjust and once new acting projects starts coming in, he will pick up. Any actor or actress who is heavily invested in a movie or series like this goes through this process so it's nothing new.
There's nothing demonic about it. Even while watching I always pictured myself in d movie and never wanted it to end.
ReplyDeleteNow imagine d real actors.
Nigerians and demons though...hmm.
Get well soon jon snow
ReplyDeleteFor the GOT superfans, of over 8 yrs. We can so relate, after the end of GOT I had my own share of fleeting depression and withdrawal symptoms. Sending love and light your way Jon/kit. We feel your pain and struggle, I saw your pain too, and we are equally so emotional cos,..... In theresa Mays crying voice, its a show that we love!
ReplyDeletefor me i have refused to watch season 8 because of the spoiler i read on SDK. Infact ehen i have copied games of thrones from my phone to Pc. I just couldn't cope mehnnn ooo.
