Speaking in Ibadan on Sunday during the thanksgiving service for the 32nd annual Fresh Fire Convention of Gethsemane Prayer Ministries, Gowon described the report as false.
Gowon, who is the national chairman of Nigeria Prays, was represented by the Secretary of the Christian group, Evangelist Austen Kemie. He said: “I am representing General Gowon at this gathering. He said he did not slump as reported in the news few days ago. Though he is 85 years old, he is still waxing stronger and stronger. But the false news went all over the world.
“He (Gowon) said calls were coming to him from Canada, America, United Kingdom and other countries of the world on the news that he slumped. He asked me when we spoke if I could see how strong he was. He said he could walk 10 miles.” Gowon’s letter to GPMI read in parts: “It is with profound joy and abounding gratitude to the almighty God that I, the chairman of Nigeria Prays, join the numerous well-wishers to congratulate the entire Gethsemane family on the occasion of the dedication of your Bethel Prayer Suites, Retreat and Conference Centre in Ibadan on Saturday.”

Whosai 😩😩😩
ReplyDeleteOK......o, don't slump sir
ReplyDeleteGowon lies didn't start today, He lied even on the Aburi accord, so I am not surprised with this.
ReplyDeleteWhy is he giving oxygen to something people have stopped discussing and moved on from? He didn't deny when it happened. N.a. now!
ReplyDeleteThis man go and confess your sins and wait on God. You don't need all this denials. Even if you did faint you are old. We understand. You can't keep a holy face forever.
ReplyDeleteHe has always been like that and can hardly change.
