“Basking in the glory of receiving my award. I share this award with the EbonyLife Team, I thank all our partners, sponsors, my family, my dearest mother, my darling Temidee and Koko and of course my bestos that have helped and supported us on our journey. Much love always...
Sharing the stage with three other incredible people honoured with this award tonight – US writer, showrunner and producer, Ilene Chaiken, chairperson of the Banijay Group in France, Stéphane Courbit, and UK managing director of Sky Vision, Jane Millichip.
Camille Bidermann, Executive Director of the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, presented me with my award last night. Thank you so much Camille for your words of inspiration. Much love''
A major part of my acceptance speech was dedicated to the creative business leaders in the room and the need for a partnership between our respective continents, so that our stories can be told with authenticity and produced to the best international standards. If these stories are told from both our perspectives there is a captive audience on both sides of the Atlantic waiting to be entertained as never before and with creative business leaders adding significantly to their bottom line!”
Fellow recipients of the Médailles d’Honneur are US writer, showrunner and producer, Ilene Chaiken, chairperson of the Banijay Group in France, Stéphane Courbit, and UK managing director of Sky Vision, Jane Millichip.
Congrats to her. She has really tried with her team on Ebonylife.
ReplyDeleteMA, my darling MA, you are such a go getter and a role model in it..... keep soaring
DeleteShe has really tried in Ebonylife TV. Congrats to her.
ReplyDeleteI just love this woman. Congratulationssssssssssssssssssss
ReplyDeleteThe guy's face tho
ReplyDeleteGood for her but she should stop competing with movie directors/producers.
ReplyDeleteI see that Omotola is now closer to her because of ........ Let me not say it. I'm sure others must have noticed it too.
Say it joor... Are you scared or what?
DeleteThey have always been close oh. Omotola, toke, Mo and this former miss nigeria omowunni akinifesi . They call themselves ondo babes . Stop saying what you don’t know . She’s always on omotola’s page dropping comment
DeleteMo is their pimp. Yes I said it.
DeleteCongratulations Mo
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Mo Abudu.
ReplyDeleteCongra to her but..
ReplyDeleteEbony life has some of the most obsolete programs on TV
Elena's ghost, that Aunt Rahmot my hairdresser has finished watching since how many years ago
Fifty the series always season 1 and 2
Dere has been re run and re run
Desperate housewives stopped after one or two seasons
They stopped the spot, one of the most refreshing programs on TV
The boot is only season 1 and 2
They have started castle and castle, hope they will end it
I know getting original content is very expensive, as Africa magic is making the competition very stiff, but ROK TV doesn't fall short.
You talked about the bad. How about the good.
DeleteDon't we deserve some positivity?
I'm tired of seeing the reruns.. If she lacks contents she should source for it. There are so many talents being wasted simply because there's no one interested in bringing their ideas to light and some of these producers are potential thieves, you meet with them and discuss an idea, give them small time, boom, you'll see your idea being used but you won't even be acknowledged. MO I have my personal grievances with you, but since today is for celebration I'll just say congrats...
DeleteGetting original content isn't impossible, especially Afro-centric content. Mo just doesn't like paying and seems to be ashamed of anything that doesn't portray her/her brand as "hip".
DeleteI thought I am the only one . There’s nothing to watch on ebony live again . She hardly ends her program . Everything there now is rerun
DeleteCongrats Mo
ReplyDeleteWith her mediocre, over hype movies. She sure knows how to market her movies, I give it to her.
ReplyDeleteAnd madam, you are no longer a teenager, sop posting pictures on Instagram like an 18-year old.
Anon 13:18... did she stop your teenager ass from posting pictures on Instagram like a 16-year old that you are? Dumb ass....
DeleteForgive my ignorance but I didn't know that African stories weren't being told at all, or from our perspective. This woman with all the privilege she has is being congratulated for producing mediocre stuff & selling us out? She's actually standing on an international stage and dissing every African creative cos she's implying we didn't have stories or we weren't telling them before she came along. God, please don't let me ever do this wickedness to people You send me to - whatever it takes, don't let me forget where I'm coming from, such that I sell out "because I want validation".
ReplyDeleteA lot of these awards are bought and paid for.
DeleteIf you dont know by now that Mo Abudu and Ebonylife buy and pay for awards then you dont know anything. This woman is as fake as anything. Ick.
DeleteCongrats Mo.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to her.
ReplyDeleteI really wish she will use her powerful and influential platform better.
Seems Wedding Party 1 got into her head. The subsequent movies have been atrocious. Chief Daddy was an eyesore. I felt insulted after I got out of the cinema. She has the cash and the connections. She should do better. I know that she has to make money but if she can't make sensible movies and still cash out, we are doomed.
keep hating and littering this post with your comments....no be her do you..she is trying, please unveil yourself so we appraise how much you have contributed in bringing local contents to our TV screens. fool
