Muda Lawal (Born Mudashiru Babatunde Lawal) was the first African player to appear in 5 consecutive AFCON tournaments (1976-1984). He was also Nigeria's most capped player (86 appearances, 12 goals) for 25 years. Muda Lawal died at age 37.
