I knew it since 😎
ReplyDeleteIt's a myth.
DeleteFor goodness sake, how can Pepper be sweet?
DeleteThank you anon 14:59. I was going to forward it but I checked Snopes after reading your comment. It's not true. Chai
DeleteAnon 16:25,i live in London and I have never seen a spicy bell pepper here, they are either sweet or tasteless, but not spicy. Most are meant for eating raw, there's another sweet one, but a little bit smaller, I use that for jollof rice along with scotch bunnet. The only spicy pepper I have seen here is scotch bunnet and you can't use more than 2 pieces for a pot of soup, except you want to kill yourself, others are sweet.
DeleteSo i heard with bitter leaf as well.
ReplyDeleteIt's people who just name it jare
ReplyDeleteWowww i never knew this... Thanks Stella for educating me. I have learnt something new today.
ReplyDeleteThis is interesting. Even female peppers are sweeter and full of seeds. What is this life without females? We are the salt and sugar of life. Take it or leave it. You can even eat the female pepper raw.
ReplyDeleteWhat about the male pepper? they must pass through heat before they can be edible. smh
Mumu wan start gender war olori gbosko, alaini ronu
DeleteShey you too see that we are not the same even in pepper. Soon the female pepper will start fighting that they want to be cooked too and it is patriarchy to eat women raw and cook men with sauce and all that make them eventually taste better.
DeleteJust wait small, you will see
i am sure the female pepper go hot pass.
ReplyDeleteBell peppers aren’t hot.
DeleteWonderment!!!
ReplyDeleteWow.didn't know this.thanks for sharing stells
ReplyDeleteWow,never knew and thanks for the info
ReplyDeleteWow!!.never heard of these o.
ReplyDeleteThis means that gender division exists in plants, which I doubt. By definition, a fruit develops from a fertilized ovule. In this case, the green outward structure that you see here contains seeds and is simply a mature ovary. Now, does it make sense to say female or male ovary/fruit? Enlighten me please
ReplyDeletekikikikiki MaxO I tire o.
DeleteSomeone will just smoke spliff, 'transcend', and start declaring via memes with no proof, no reference, shred of evidence, no rigorous scientific research (methodologies included) no publications....and people will just believe, without doing the research and worse, start spreading 'alternative facts' to other ppl upandan. When one cerebral enlightened teenager corrects them, they will be shouting 'o mo age mi', 'am i ur mate' 'you are spoilt' 'dem no teach you respect?' etc etc etc
gender indeed! I wonder if there transgender bell pepper? shior
Lmao!
DeleteI'm sure I have seen intersex peppers too.
Yeah, yeah. Very soon we shall hear of transgender pepper and gay pepper. Mtcheew.
DeleteI never knew it

ReplyDeleteWow
ReplyDeleteI have learn something new today Stella God bless you for enriching our life with this wonderful blog am new here o
ReplyDeleteDo the research yourself! hian! You just accepted the info hook line and sinker. lazy youth!
Deleteis this how you believe anything so easily? Then we have a full functioning airport to sell to YOU
Wowwwwww
ReplyDeleteI don't think this right o. How can a fruit have gender? If u say species i agree but not differrnt gender.
ReplyDeleteWhile there are such things as male and female plants, and even male and female parts of the same flower, there is no such thing as gender (or sex) in fruit. That would imply that fruit sexually reproduce with each other. They don’t. They are just a fleshy package that contains the end product of sexual reproduction, the seeds.
ReplyDeleteThe number of lobes at the base of a pepper is determined largely by genetics, but growing conditions can have an impact, too. There is no evidence that four-lobed types are consistently sweeter, either. So save your time inspecting!
T A T A S H E
ReplyDeleteJust learnt a new one.
