Do you have Endometriosis?Do you know about the condition you have?
Endometriosis is a long term condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb starts to grow in other places, such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes.
It can affect women of any age, but it's most common in women in their 30s and 40s.
Though there are treatments that can help,Endo' can have a significant impact on your life.....

Yesterday I ran into a German acquaintance and she shocked me to my marrow with what she told me....
I heard she was in hospital for some time,so when i ran into her Yesterday and after all the hugs,I asked her what she had been operated on and she told me she took out her womb!!!...I fainted and woke up....She is married with a child but the pain of Endometriosis was too much for her so she opted out....
Her hubby is supporting her......
Is there anyone here who has gone through taking off their womb cos of the pain and heavy bleeding?or currently Managing Endometriosis?
i am currently managing Endo and i tell you, it's not been easy. i am seven years in marriage though.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry.
Deleteit will end in praise.
Madam if you have kids already why not just take it out na, than all this pains
DeleteGod will surprise u soon
DeleteMc pinky
God will heal you
DeleteSurprised you were surprised Stella. This is common in the western world. Have see many women, like about 30 women, who removed their wombs because of endometriosis Nd adenomyosis. The things women pass through. Removing the womb is always many doctors resort in the overseas. Anything that has to do with the uterus, the next thing you will suggest is hysterectomy.
ReplyDeleteI went to see a gynaecolgist here in the UK concerning fibroid, the next thing " how about hysterectomy, just yank off everything" I was like if I slap you eeehhh, Haven't got babies yet and you are suggesting this, if I knock your front teeth eeeh, you will go pick them from the roof.
Maybe the fibroids were huge or why would he even suggest that knowing you don't have kids???
DeleteHave you had surgery to take out the fibroids now? I had mine done in Guys & Thomas in the uk, was in hospital for 5days cuz of breathing issues or so. I took in 3 months after and have a boy now.
Trying for baby no 2, God help me and I pray he comes through for all those seeking the fruit of the womb. The journey is really not what you will wish on an enemy.
My dear I haven't removed them. The doc said the location of the fibroid is outside the wall of uterus and removing it may lead to some complication with my bladder and all because of the location.
DeleteI went through hell for 4years battling with this and refused going for the surgery not until my blood level was 6 and I was feeling weak and dizzy always before I agreed to go for surgery.thank God it was successful. Now I don't have heavy flow again.any woman battling this sickness should brave up and go for surgery
ReplyDeleteStella my love, thanks for this post. I would love you to do more post on women trying to get pregnant and all sorts, this blog has become a very crucial part of me. I can't go a day with out coming here, love you right there
ReplyDeleteRemoving it is normal here in the States , they no like pan ohhh, half the surgeries in the hospital I work in is hysterectomy, pls if you are in great pain and your blood level is between 5-6 ,get rid of it .Do not die in ignorance .
ReplyDeleteHmmm may God help us
ReplyDeleteI have one of the worst cases ever but to God be the Glory. I'm managing. I started noticing painful memes after an abortion I did sometime ago. I was later diagnosed with endometriosis later in life, the pain no be here, even to have sex scares me. I'm yet to conceive after 10yrs of marriage but I believe Jehovah Rapha has heard my cries & healed me
ReplyDeleteIt is well with you dearie, all the best.
Delete*sad sigh*
ReplyDeleteIve done surgery twice. Before the 2nd surgery i was told if they open me up and discover the problem was too much, they would remove my womb. So they asked me to sign, aaah sign ke? Im not married yet. I cried my eyes out, called my family and pastor to pray for me. At last i signed. Luckily for me, the womb was not removed. Which nigerian man will marry a wombless woman??? Endo is evil.
ReplyDeleteGoodNews And Mercy is The Portion Of All womanhood...Father Let Your Grace Abides In Us...
ReplyDeleteHad hysterectomy during the birth of my last child. I had complications after delivery. I am fine now. No issues. Have 3 kids. No need for the womb again.
ReplyDeleteWomen!!!! We are trying. God bless us all
ReplyDeleteWomen are suffering..Thank God for his Mercy
ReplyDeletePART ONE
ReplyDeleteStella I battled with this Monster for some time after marriage. Sadly the growth I had was on both ovaries, so menses was somewhat irregular and seeing my menstruation was a nightmare. Lovemaking nko? It scared the shit out of me. All Gynecologists I met suggested surgery here in Nigeria and we sought a second opinion in USA. That was where I heard it all! Stella 2 different Drs I met in 2 different hospitals said the same thing! In their language- " I am a MESS on the inside and my enter womb ought to go off!"
Stella with those words, my world crumbled. I ended up having a laparoscopy there in US. I had to look for a Nigerian Doctor who understood our culture and the anguish and anxiety of childlessness to handle the procedure. God used the Nigeria Doc to show me mercy. The laparoscopy surgery lasted over 8 hours against the 4 hours session we earlier agreed with the Anaesthetic. The Doc through the help and wisdom from the Holy Spirit yanked off all the massive growth on my ovaries and other places.
I had a regular painless menses afterwards. I was given an injection-LUPRON which I took every 6 months. The injection threw Me into temporary menopause. We were also advised to use condom within the 1 year period of having the Lupron injection to avoid conception. I'm not so sure but I think the Lupron injection was to kill the growth of the endometriosis to the root.
After the one year period elapsed, we ventured fully into helping our selves in assisted conception. It was a terrible painful experience! After 6 failed IVF Sessions, we gave up and sort for Surrogacy. We had another 4 failed sessions of IVF with 4 different Surrogates!!! We were devastated! That was in our 9th year of marriage!
Through Divine Providence, we were counselled on adoption. Initially I had reservations on this choice. I felt adoption meant the end of the road for us with having our own biological child. We prayerfully sort the face of God and had complete PEACE afterwards. We intimated both Parents and they gave their blessings. We went through the adoption processes and ended up with our bundle of joy- a 1 week old adorable cute baby girl!
God bless you and it is well with you In Jesus name, amen. You made the rigut decision.
DeleteSending you kisses and hugs dear
DeleteAwwww, you had the best support system anyone could ask for..God bless your husband, family and you...endo is no joke, enjoy your family💖
DeletePART TWO
ReplyDeleteThe arrival of our baby changed everything for us positively! I thank God Almighty for her undeserved mercy and blessing in our lives. My life became happier and my hubby dotted all over her!
When my daughter was 3 years old, we contemplated going for a brother for her. We have actually applied in a Home when I ran into a friend who just started the ketogenic lifestyle. I was impressed on her success story as she had lost quite alot of pounds with the lifestyle change.
She linked me up to her WhatsApp Ketogenic Group chat and I joined them. My only motive for joining was to trim down as fertility drugs had actually made me add some weight.
7 Weeks into the Lifestyle change, I lost almost 6 kg and was so happy with my new look. But then the unimaginable happened! I missed my period! I cried because even though I have already given up on having my own biological child, I also dreaded Menopause and all associated symptoms. Then I was 40 years old and 14 years old in Marriage.
With Malaria symptoms weighing me down few weeks later, I went to our General clinic to run some test. I met a new Doc on seat who knew nothing about my fertility history. She wrote Malaria Parasite Test along side with Pregnancy Test. I laughed when I saw the Lab Test Paper. If only she knew I had just entered Menopause at age 40!
When my y test result came out, I WAS PREGNANT!!!! ME???? PREGNANT????? HOW???
Coincidentally, that was when we had the 100 Baby prophecy in the Blog. I called Stella then on phone to tell her but I didnt go into details! I was sure it was a chemical pregnancy and one day I may be told one ugly story or the other! But God was MERCIFUL INDEED! I ran to my Gyneacologist and he recommended Cyglogest pessary which I inserted in my Vagina from that day till 13 Weeks. I had a Cerclage procedure to tie the mouth of my Womb . I had a hitch free pregnancy to Gods glory and we were blessed with another adorable baby girl!!!!
With my Ketogenic diet knowledge, I now naturally cut down on my carbohydrate intake and was able to snap back to my pre-pregnancy weight and shape.
Do you know Our Good Lord wasn't done with me yet! Despite having irregular menses after the birth of my daughter, I confirmed another pregnancy last quarter of 2018! I'm currently in my last Trimester to Gods own glory! No I don't know babys sex yet as I'm not sure what my reaction will be whatever the sex! It's been an amazing pregnancy journey so far and I know that He who started this good work will bring it to a perfect end in Jesus Name-Amen!!!
So I want to encourage you out there. I can now authoritatively tell you that sugar isn't good for anyone with endometriosis or anyone fighting infertility. The Lord showed up for me when I consciously made efforts to cut down on sugar and carbohydrates.
Also, I believe to a very large extent that the presence of my first daughter doused all tension in my life and in my Home! Her presence filled every known void of the pang of childlessness! I have tasted both now- my verdict- THERE IS LITTLE OR NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A BIOLOGICAL OR AN ADOPTED CHILD ! The only difference is the disfigured tummy . Outside that, both children are gifts from God. It's not about who gave birth to; it's about who nurtured! Otherwise how do we explain the sad mystery behind all these Kidnappers, Armed Robbers etc. Wrrent they given birth to by their biological Parents and yet they ended up the way they did. While you sort medical advise, please consider bringing home a baby and showing love while you wait on the Lord. Your life wont be the same again once you hold that baby in your arms! And ofcourse children has a way of calling forth their siblings.
May our Merciful Father show up for you like He did to me in Jesus Name-Amen
Thank you for this post.
DeleteGreat testimony
DeleteYou are blessed maam. The Lord will grant you safe delivery, amen .

DeleteWonderful! God is great!
DeleteThank you so much for this piece, may God bless your home and provide in abundance what you need to take care of your children.
DeleteI also conceived when I started the keto diet, though I lost the pregnancy due to fibroid. I will cut down on all carbs and sugar now to aid my conception.
God bless your home, I really needed this encouragement

ReplyDeleteI had a laprotomy in December last year to cut out the endo tissues growing on my right ovaries. I have been on zoladex for 4 months now to stop period and induce artificial menopause. I got 2 months to go on zoladex before I switch to oral. It gas not been an easy journey I have been a shadow of myself, always falling in and out of depression. I can't wait for it to be over.
ReplyDeleteAm a Victor to Adynomiosis too. I tell you the journey has been terrible. But Mirena IUD really help. No more pain and the menses is now scanty
