Lekan who had accused her of being lovers with one Kayode, the General Manager of a publishing company, consistently denied that he did not kill her but only slapped her...
He had also allegedly locked up her corpse, with his children inside their home, before she was discovered hours later by their housekeeper....
*Sad story......May God empower someone with strength and resources to help the two kids left behind overcome this traumatic loss....
Chai...
ReplyDeleteI think he should be sent to the wall, and made to wear black, winter is coming!!
Walk away during an argument, allow yourself to calm down, pay for a hotel or stay over at a friends, women Push some of us to do the unimaginable. Nobody knows what holds another’s life! Separate if u have to, allow things to cool off. Now the children will lose both parents for what now??? For an avoidable silly jealous or Anger. Too painful abeg.
DeleteZeus you are very foolish to say women push some of you... do you know what women go through?
DeleteWinter is here!
DeleteHow many times will you walk away in an argument. Better you leave the marriage with your two legs or you will leave in a body bag.
DeleteThe guy is a psycopath and an abuser. They dont change.
@Anon 19:13 you shouldn't tell him foolish. If you want to correct someone do it in a polite manner. You need to control your anger too.
DeleteWinter is here ke, where you dey Yaba left escape? Na spring we dey here oooo, winter be ti bawo, e jo ooooo 🤷🏾😳.
DeleteZeus, i get you jare
Obviously, you didn't know what really happened, because if you did, you would have said women push you guys to the wall @zeus!
Delete22:04 ...it means you don't know Yabaleft.
DeleteHis words are riddled with hyperbole.
Guessing he's referring to something else *
He’s referring to games of throne
DeleteDeath penalties are retrogressive and unjustifiable, there is no evidence to suggest the death penalty deters crime more effectively than other punishment. Why couldn't they sentence him to life imprisonment.
ReplyDeleteThey wont kill him!
DeleteThey'd stale the case, leaving him in prison till they exile him, forget this pronounced sentence, if you know you know. Same thing theyre doing with Rev king
Because e took a life and took it willfully. He shoudl get life imprisonment And be feeding on taxpayers money enh? U try.
DeleteWell we dont have the luxury of such resources to waste on condemed cold blooded murderers. Even though the Nigerian govt hardly carries out such sentences. Rev. King still dey there, Arowolo still dey there after so many years of conviction. Death by hanging should be changed to lethal injection and the culprit's sentenceshould be carried out without so much delay.
DeleteBy the way, its punishment not attempt to correct.
Those kids automatically becomes orphans... Damn
ReplyDeleteFinally!
ReplyDeleteJustice prevailed
Children will be orphans because of momentary anger.
ReplyDeleteHow much more grievous are the consequences of anger than the causes of it
Delete~~~SAD
Best news of 2019. Wicked man. He deserved what he was served. Oya hang man, what are you waiting for? That maryam in Abuja and that wicked lawyer in Lagos both of you are next on the line. If you're tired of your marriage leave rather than killing your partner. Violence is never the answer mehn...
ReplyDeleteHow can that be the best news? Have you thought about the kids? How dey are feeling? Whose going to care for them? Will dey be alright or maltreated or even abused. Those kids lost their mom and now their dad, do you know the emotional trauma dey will undergo now
DeleteEven the lady lawyer in Ibadan too.
DeleteSo the father should live because of the kids? Makes no sense to me. He committed murder, he lost the kids at that point.
DeleteHe will appeal the judement
ReplyDeleteWhat a pity,he used his hands to destroy his life, now his kids would become ophans and carry this stigma.
ReplyDeleteWhat a world. Heart of man is desperately wicked. @Blessed Princess
ReplyDeleteChai! This world!
ReplyDeleteNawa o
ReplyDeletewhat a way to end your life because of jealousy.
ReplyDeleteI feel for the children
Honestly
DeleteThis should teach all like him some sense. No excuse , please.
ReplyDeleteIf i had any new year resolution at all this year,it would be working on my self and character development...
ReplyDeleteSometimes it is okay to take the L sign and walk away.
Never talk back at people..Put your emotions in check.
Hardwork and determination can get you places that character would destroy in the twinkle of an eye..
I pray God forgives him and gives the children grace to overcome this when they are grown...
This is too much
Oh, I don't know. I think this was too harsh.
ReplyDeleteWait, let me explain.
I think it was really a case of manslaughter and I'm not sure this is the penalty for it. Maybe a life time imprisonment would have been better.
But what do I know ?? Las las, maybe this will serve as a deterrent to all perpetrators of domestic violence
This wasn't manslaughter. The force he used, to begin with, rules out manslaughter - especially as he wasn't acting in self defence. You must not necessarily intend the outcome for it to be murder - recklessness may suffice as mens rea. Then, he had been beating her before. His actions afterwards didn't help - huncle locked his children in with their mother's corpse, went into hiding, boasted that he can hide in Lagos forever and he won't be found cos he's a Lagos boy, then claimed his son must have killed Ronke. There was only one way this was bound to end...
DeleteMy dear I'm with you on this!
DeleteI'm indifferent about this sentence (to feel sad or happy)
I feel sorry for the kids!
Poor children, they will now be orphans!
Ife iwe oku na eme!
So it wasnt harsh when he left his wife battered in a pool of her own blood.
DeleteSo it wasn't harsh that he killed someone child but it's harsh that he is been given Same punishment he gave the woman. What is good for Peter is good for Paul.
DeleteIt could be reckless murder but only intentional pre-planned as in I came here to kill her killings should attract the penalty. This is not first degree murder. There's no evidence that he planned to kill her. It was a fight or beating gone wrong
DeleteShe should have left him when the writing in the wall was clear.be was depressed and insecure.but Nigerian women prefer to go to the "war room" las las we go dey alright!
ReplyDeleteShe should have left him when the writing in the wall was clear.be was depressed and insecure.but Nigerian women prefer to go to the "war room" las las we go dey alright!
ReplyDeleteWhen you tell Nigerian women to exit a violent marriage, they will say a) they're staying for their children, and b) you're jealous and trying to scatter their marriage.
ReplyDeleteRonke was begged to leave. Her own sister went to collect her, she double-crossed her sister and returned to the house from where she was posting perfect pictures on social media. See how she has orphaned her children, traumatised them (they were locked in with her corpse), and stigmatised them (they will be known as children of the man who was executed for killing their mother). All because she didn't love herself or her children enough to leave & live. Only God knows what will become of the children. After Titilayo Arowolo, this woman didn't learn. A BV is reading this & towing the same path, claiming to be staying for her children. Don't carry your children and flee; sit there.
So apt. He who has ears......
DeleteThat's why women in such circumstances shd think deeply their future & children not what people will say.
DeleteEeyah
ReplyDeleteOh dear. What will happen to the kids?
ReplyDeleteIt's tragic, poor children
ReplyDeleteIt additionally comes in trendy designs; therefore,
ReplyDeleteif you love mokdern designs thus is one of the trackers to go for.
Thank God justice has finally been served.
ReplyDeleteEyah
ReplyDeleteHe should appeal. Manslaughter should be a better sentence, otherwise the kids will be opharned.
ReplyDeleteSad😭.....the children???
ReplyDeleterest in hell wicked man
