IBB Tells Atiku To Accept Defeat At The 2019 Presidential Elections....

Former Military President, General Ibrahim Babangida (Rtd), has urged Atiku Abubakar to concede defeat following his loss in the last presidential election.

In a statement he signed on Saturday, IBB said he was particularly impressed with the gallant and audacious spirit of the main challenger in the presidential race.

He noted: “I was not surprised that even though he lost the most exotic position of the land, his doggedness and pattern of support cut across ethnic, religious and regional lines that earned him the second position of the last Presidential election.

“I call on the former Vice–President Atiku Abubakar to close ranks and work with the winner of the election in an objective and constructive manner so that democracy will continue to thrive in our country at this crucial period of renaissance.

“I urged him also to endeavour and prevail on his admirers to eschew bitterness and violence. They must be prevailed upon to understand that politics is a game in which there must be only one winner.

“I pray that the Almighty Allah will continue to guide our democratic steps for peace and progress in our country.”

  1. Even as I strongly believe nothing will come out from his suit, they should allow him exercise his fundamental right to challenge the election he feel wasn't done rightly.

All those pressuring him to concede defeat are all bunch of jokers. Why aren't they speaking up against the fraud and sham of an elections which pictorial and video footage are all over the public space? This is why we are still backward as a people, for we always move on and force people to move on even when it is obvious that things aren't right about the system.

    2. Even if Atiku decides to accept this results and move on, he shouldn't congratulate buhari. Buhari doesn't deserve that congratulations.

Plus atiku shouldn't support him either, let's all suffer the economy downfall and underdevelopment like that. Let all the supporters of buhari use their sees to suffer and second 4 years long suffering.

Jesus will not come down and save Nigeria, you people should keep putting incompetent people in power and expect a miracle.

  5. Yes, I agree with him.

Atiku should concede defeat and move on.

No need dragging the issue, it won't favour him.

After all, most of my fellow Atikulated people shouting on the internet up and down didn't even go out and vote that day.

Some didn't even go get their PVCs while some didn't even do at all so, I'm not surprised Buhari won. Forget rigging.

Anyone here complaining of buhari's win that didn't go out to vote that day, except those in places that elections didn't hold, you have no right to complain and shame on you.

  8. If the election wasn't such a sham, i am sure Atiku would have moved on but seeing the manipulation that Professor Mahmood claims was an election, i hope Atiku goes to court.
APC knows nothing about democracy. See the situation with Akpabio and the opposition in Akwa-Ibom, and compare to Saraki and his opposition in Kwara...
Please Atiku should go to court
