The governor said he made it clear to his close friends and allies that the opposition did not stand a chance against the president.
He argued that in a federation that has developed a thick skin for fairness, equity and justice, it is wiser to be subtle than confrontational.
He warned that Ndigbo must not stumble twice over the same stone. But nobody understood him then, for though most of them have been in politics long before him, but foresight is a gift that is not available to everyone.
“And now that the chickens have come home to roost, it has become clear to Governor Obiano that foresight comes at a price.
“Foresight is a lonely path to tread. It breeds unexpected resentment and hate. Having foresight could turn you into a sudden object of anger and unwise attacks.
“But on the long run, it never leaves you without the enduring sheen of grace and glory. And that happens only when the people finally wake up to smell the coffee.
“Sadly, in the case of many farsighted leaders, this happens after they are out of office or after they are gone!”
Recall that Obiano had denied claims by candidates of some political parties in the state that he had endorsed them for the forthcoming general elections, saying that he had endorsed only candidates of All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA.
from dailypost
*He knew before hand APC would win?Seer Obiano!!!
Obiano will be the last Governor on the platform of APGA to rule Anambra State again. Plans has already emerged on how the governor is planning to run for a senatorial seat on the platform of APC after his tenure elapses.
ReplyDeleteWe know the Igbo traitors among us, so we aren't surprised. It is on the public domain, where Dave Umahi the PDP governor of Ebonyi State openly said that he financed APC campaign in his state with five million naira, then rented crowd for Buhari when he visited the state. What does that tells you? They sabotage the free flow of elections in their state.
Obiano isn't it a shame that your party APGA didn't win any seat in the National assembly election conducted last week? I will let Obiano understand one thing, no man born of a woman has ever betray the Igbo race and ended well.
Obiano the Anglican faithfuls you locked outside the gate last year, prayed under the sun and cursed you. I hope you still remember their prayers that day against your household. Your day of reckoning will surely come.
Noisemaker and liar. Stop this noise. Nnamdi didn’t betray the Igbo people right? Your Peter Obi didn’t betray APGA right? Was he not supporting PDP while still in APGA? Then he jumped ship to PDP thinking that after Jona’s win, he would get a ministerial appointment. Was it not the same thing with the accidental minister, Chidoka? Though his case was gubernatorial candidate for another party. Ojukwu’s APGA is dead. Even Ojukwu’s wife got no relevance in the party.
DeleteOlboy, the election loss still dey pain you? Abeg go sip your kai kai with okpa. Las las, you go dey well. Your ranting na only here e stop. No physical and practical meaning to it.
Guysay what u know APGA won 5 Rep seats in Anambra
Deleteteejay you talk with facts why now?? do you live in anambra? find out about hard facts and stop absorbing street banter ...
Delete11:30 if Obiano is innocent as you try to exonerate him, why are other people condemning him on this post? Didn't he locked the Anglican pastors and members outside the gate of government house last year when they visited him over an issue? Didn't he threatened civil servants if they didn't vote for Buhari? Please prove me wrong if I am.
DeleteThis obiano is a witch, he was among those that called goodluck to cancel the election when his card reader failed on national Tv. He was in full support of GEJ . Any where bele face governor. No shame today Buhari is in power you support him, if court gives atiku power he will still be the first to zoom to also rock to take picture with the new king.
DeleteTeejay again! You have obviously not learnt anything at all.
DeleteHahaha, I thought Igbos are loyal and it is only yorubas that betray and cannot be trusted?? Let me laugh again hahahaha.
DeleteHis political career has ended like mbadinuju.so no worry do n finish
ReplyDeleteBiko mechipu onu there!! Be looking for attention updan. If you had any sense, you've supported your brother, whether or not he stood a chance; it's called loyalty!!
ReplyDeleteThis one that will never be s politician again after he leaves, loser.
ReplyDeleteIn Obiano's words ***He argued that in a federation that has developed a thick skin for fairness, equity and justice, it is wiser to be subtle than confrontational.*** REALLY ??????????????? You had even seen what other well meaning Nigerians have seen over the years YE5 you decided to join forces with the ENEMIES of Nigeria and the masses !!! The ENEMIES who consistently and continually propagate ***INJUSTIC, INEQUALITY and UNFAIRNESS ****. Obiano , you are NOT fit to be a Leader !!!!!!!! Peter Obi after many years of leaving your present position got more than 70‰ of votes from Anambra people , it shows the love and trust they still have for you are simply a ***JUDAS** amongst Igbos
ReplyDeleteChop kiss for this your comment
DeleteSo because of you foolishness , you decided to support Injustice and lack of fairness, and your proud to state it !!!!!!!!! Obiano , shame de catch me on your behalf!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteObiano is like a man who criminals gang rape his wife and do nothing because they threatened him to stay off or get raped too !!!!!! Useless man
ReplyDeleteWhat is this ***WOMAN** called Obiano vomiting ????????
ReplyDeleteWho is this ignorant person attempting to reduce womanhood to an insult?.
DeleteGo wash your mouth first before vomiting under my comment!! Voltron ; defender of the universe !!!!!!
DeleteHe takes revenge on Peter Obi. His political godfather who brought him to govt house to become a governor.
ReplyDeleteWhen Atiku wins at the courts he will face karma. Obiano sorry for you.
The man is freaking right! Most Igbos play politics with sentiments. Unfortunately, come 2023, the chances of an Igbo man becoming president is nearly impossible now given the voting patterns of 2015 and 2019. These is just plain fact. A top ranking Ndigbo official said same thing during the week. For those on here that is attacking him, it boils down to sentiments again, face the message and ignore the messenger! What are the chances of Igbo men picking up the tickets for office of the president from the leading parties?
ReplyDeleteStan, I’m not an Igbo person but you are very wrong. An Igbo man can become the president of Nigeria if the government allows their vote counts. They have the numbers don’t be fooled, why do you think the oba of Lagos and tinubu are scared? Igbos are one tribe you can find a very huge number anywhere in Nigeria and overseas, they are also self Made they are the richest clean people of Nigeria, they got money with out stealing from government. Take them out of Lagos and Lagos will be dry. Mind you they are only in Lagos because federal government refuse to build a sea port and airport in the east or close to the east.go to aba and onitsha and see ur self. Their votes strength is arguably the strongest in Nigeria.
DeleteWho is this anonymous 13:05? Please I need to know you. Chaii why you no use your ID naa? If you are a woman I for for.... You just won my heart with this comment of yours. Please how do I know you?
DeleteStatistically, it is not possible even if all eligible Igbo voters are counted! In 2015, P.D.P was in power and even with rigging, Igbo votes did not over ride most of the S.S not to talk of S.W. By Igbos, I mean Igbo speaking states(S.E). If you take out Rivers, Cross River, Akwa-Ibom and Delta states out of the equation, where will the Igbos be politically? On the other issue regarding Igbos been successful and all, I believe that is your own view. What I know is, no man can make an Island. The Igbo elders should learn from that. With the Federal might in 2015, it didn't work! In Nigeria, the Igbos should realize they need other tribes to attain power! It is not about money or ethic miltia group, it is not about speaking queens English, it is just plain simple arithmetic.
DeleteStan, it’s me again. Talking of voting power the igbos have, if you read my comment, I said allow all vote counts. Have you forgotten lagoon by the oba of Lagos? Asking them not to vote or die in lagoon, in kaduna and other northern states, they were scared to come out and vote because it was a Muslim and a Christian contest.yes, I agree with you that they need other regions to win, just as it would be an Hausa man,Yoruba man, or south south person, the north alone did not make Buhari win. We’re you thinking it will be Igbo Igbo ticket? Hell No! It could be Igbo-middle belt ticket. Now go back to 2015 after all the votes in the south west was counted and Buhari was winning, the result of only Enugu came and GEJ came back tops and that was why this time around INEC refuse to take election materials to the east.mind you if GEJ wanted to win the election he would have, just the way the army shortguns from night till morning in Borno and yobe to scare voters so as to allow APC fix a figure, how else do you think APC got millions of vote in such a condition, when even the governor of those state could not come out, GEJ would have used the army too. You said the issue of money and wealth is my opinion and I agree with you, but please name one Igbo man you know that got his wealth stealing from Nigeria?even ojukwu Sponsored the civil war with his fathers money, his father was the first Nigerian millionaire and the only black man living in ekoyi at that time.now, who was tinubu father, fashions father or even amechis father?
DeleteAre you trying to state that the Igbos are more than the Yorubas and other tribes in Lagos? Definitely, the Igbos can't be more than the main tribe of any state (within any region). The only reason why you feel so is because, naturally, Igbos are communial by nature, they live within themselves, that is why votes
Deletewill always swing towards the opposition in their area of residence. As regards wealth, most Igbos are importers and not manufacturers, the highest employer of labour today in Nigeria are not Igbos( pls research on this to confirm) The Igbos are no doubt enterprising and resilient by nature. But trying to state that without them Lagos will be dry is far from the truth. I have learnt through my years as an employer that, no matter how relevant you think you are, you can be replaced!
I think you are been naive by asking me to state any Igbo man that got his wealth through govt, I tell you today that no matter who you are in Nigeria, most business men in Nigeria are dirty...and believe me, most of this our so called Billionaires do it dirty...from import duty fraud to tax evasion and fraud, subsidy fraud and so many to mention. The issue here is that, the earlier the Igbos realize that it is better to work with other tribes in realizing the 2023 dream of ruling the better! Ojukwu did not bank roll the civil war alone with his father, he had countries like France and Congo with some other countries supporting him, mind you, some Igbo millionaires too supported. As per his father been a billionaire, pls kindly research on Candido Da Rocha and many other Billionaires of those days.
Lol,my guess is that you checked google after I told you about him and found rocha. I dint use google as reference it’s on record in books and Nigeria history books.. Now google Louis ojukwu and tell me what you see.
DeleteI didn't doubt who Ojukwu's father was cause I know a lot about him(Read it before the Advent of Google! I like history alot!) Same way I read about Da Rocha as well. Let us not shift the goal post here. For every Igbo man that is Rich, so we have Rich Yoruba, Hausa, Ijaw, Urohbo and all of them, for every scammer that is Yoruba, that is the same way we have Hausa, Igbo and Edo scammer! No tribe is peculiar with anything! Lastly, let us be clear and blunt with each other on this fact... If P.D.P gives the next Presidential ticket to an Igbo man and middle belt like you suggested, you think P.D.P stands any chance up north or in the S.W?
DeleteSo interesting anonymous 19:42. Your points are in order.
DeleteHatred begets loss. Nigerians are watching where your hatred will lead you come 2023. You guys don't only hate Yoruba and Hausa, you hate yourselves, chaiii God is disappointed. All your analysis about politics as resulted in more loss for you. My people dey say "if hate and bitterness no work, try love". IBO people should try love, stop being on the wrong side, God no dey there if not you won't be recording loss all the time.
ReplyDeleteIt’s Igbo not IBO.
DeleteIdiot and you think hausas like you. When they say igbos you think they are only referring to south east. How many appointments have they given your tribe? Is Atiku an Igbo man. Your hatred for Igbo will soon choke you to death. Do you have a better life than igbos per capita income.
Deleteobiano go and sit down
ReplyDeleteDrunkard GOV what do you expect this is the biggest mistake of Peter Obi
ReplyDeleteObiano is taking this position because of Peter Obi. Oga grow up! Who pass you, pass you.
ReplyDeleteMschew
He's saying this because Buhari won the election. He would have been saying different him if he loss.
ReplyDeleteYeye fake people.
