The incident happened about 9.20pm on Saturday close to the Fire Service office.
Though no casualty had been reported, men of the police and fire fighters have been battling to salvage situation.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Haruna Mohammed, while confirming the incident, described it as sad and unfortunate.

Omg! Whats all these tanker inferno we hear of everyday. Somethibg should be done. They should only go about on the road strictly at night and before 5am the next morning. May God comfort their families.
