Justice Jude Okeke of an FCT High Court Maitama, who gave the ruling, said the prosecution could not provide any proof to make the court not to grant bail.
Okeke admitted them to bail in the sum of N50 million and a surety in like sum each. He insisted that the surety must be resident in Abuja and must provide residential address to the court.
In addition to that, the judge ordered that the surety must own a landed property with the land documents submitted to the court. Okeke also ordered the defendants to deposit their international passports and traveling documents to the Registrar of the court.

*Their bail is too small compared to what was allegedly taken!!!!
Only 50million?
ReplyDeleteOlisah Metuh charges read 400milion while Babachir Lawal reads 544million. But check the treatment on both cases including bail conditions if they are the same.
ReplyDeleteWhile Olisa Metuh was given stringent bail conditions of 400million for a charge of 400milion, Babachir was given just 50million for a charge of 544million. Of course one is a northerner and the other an Easterner.
DeleteI'm just loving your sentiment and of course, I'm all in support. I just want Buhari out, I don't care, i Just want him out and another person in. I prefer younger candidate but I doubt they've got a real shot.
DeleteSo if another man got in there , he knows, he's going to get booted and get same treatment if he doesn't do well in office.
Thought Jubril said there's no evidence of misconduct against him. Anti-corruption fight indeed.
