At least 20 people have been killed and more than 80 injured after two bombs detonated outside a Roman Catholic cathedral on a southern Philippine island.

A second blast occurred outside the compound as government forces were responding to the attack, security officials said.
Police said the blasts injured 81 people and killed 20, lowering an earlier announced death toll of 27 that officers say was incorrect due to double counting.
No-one ihas mmediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
