Ajasa who rose to stardom in the late ’90s and early ‘2000s reportedly needs funds to undergo peptic ulcer operation.
Popular singer, Alariwo of Africa who spoke with Ajasa who is currently admitted in Ikorodu General hospital cried out on behalf of the rapper via his Instagram page :
‘My dear colleagues, our brother, Legendary Nigerian Afro hip hop artiste and pioneer of Yoruba rap, Segun Osaniyim aka Lord of Ajasa is critically ill and needs funds to undergo a peptic ulcer operation. He is currently at Ikorodu general hospital, where he is receiving treatment. However, he needs to be moved to a better and more equipped hospital so as to get the best medical attention’.
I got a message from his wife begging me to speak to his colleagues to save her husband. When I called Ajasa earlier today, he confirmed that the story is true.’
Let’s all come together as fast as we can to help out as nothing is too small. supporting him financially to stay alive is the best remedy than saying sorry which we regret in Jesus name. Kindly Send your donation to his account details: 0015198342’' Osaniyi olusegun GTB
When NET reached out to the ailing musician, he was unavailable to pick calls but Alariwo confirms the sum of N200,000 had been spent already, but his wife pleaded that more money was needed.
‘It is better for us to cry for help now than for us to be hit with unpleasant news later. I implore on all Nigerian celebrities to help their colleague who is in dire need of funds,’ Alariwo told NET.
Over half a decade ago, Ajasa was the only Yoruba rapper with a mainstream hit. The rapper who was one of the late Dagrin’s biggest influences warmed his way into the hearts of many with the use of the Yoruba language in his rap verses, a style which quickly has become popular in the Nigerian music industry.

ReplyDeleteUnless they can setup a system where you can pay with PayPal, many of us in the diaspora cannot assist. They should also set up a GoFundme page, and run a social media campaign alongside.
ReplyDeleteI wish him well, ulcers are extremely painful from what I have been told. They also said cabbage juice for a month is known to heal many ulcers, not saying his case can be healed without surgery, but juicing cabbage has to be cheaper and worth a try until the money comes on.
