ReplyDeleteYup ,he was a great Ifa Priest
ReplyDeleteAlso known as Obara Meyi
ReplyDeleteWow. I recall Popsie gists; during the slave era most of the loaded ships had to be turned back from America because they had abolished Slave trade.
ReplyDeleteThe merchants had no option than to discharge their "articles". They dropped the slaves in bits and batches into the many Carribean Islands:
Puerto Rico
Suriname
Haiti
Curacao
Cuba
St Kitts
St Vincent's
Santa da Domingo
Aruba
Santa Lucia
So many islands.
That's why they have many blacks from West Africa. Speaking Nigerian language, dressing same and dominating the local markets.
The pidgin language is so funny. In Surinam you see a sign post for daycare as "Holding Baby Unit" a hospital is "SICKING HOUSE"
Hahahahaha
Brazil is missing from the list this is why Yoruba race is so wide spread and they still speak Yoruba in those countries as official languages.
