Durotoye was one of the 11 candidates that formed Presidential Aspirants Coming Together (PACT) and eventually emerged a consensus candidate.
The process that produced Durotoye was supervised by Ezekwesili, who was yet to declare for presidency as at then.
Moghalu disputed the outcome of the primary election and insisted he was still in the race.
“PACT did not produce a truly consensus candidate,” Moghalu said in August 2018.
However, Durotoye insisted on Thursday that if the process produces any other candidate apart from himself he is ready to step aside and support the person.
“if the process produces any other candidate apart from myself, I AM READY to support whoever the Consensus Candidate is and to do all I can to support the coalition to win the 2019 Presidential elections for our generation,” Durotoye said.
“Let us come together and seize this historic window of opportunity for our generation to select one of us to go ahead of us,” he added.

*I dont trust these people anymore, looks like they are all scampering for last minute deals.....
Better for him,he wouldn’t have won anyway.
ReplyDeleteAnd that's how the cookie crumbles my dear Nigerians!
DeleteNot until we all hold each other accountable, we'll continue to have hiccups like this and I hope we'll still have a country to call ours eventually!
True, its always been between Buhari and Atiku. Oby wouldn't have won either.
DeleteAfrican politicians are all in the same WhatsApp group.
ReplyDeleteDurotye taaaa mechionu dia! After collecting money. Why didn't y'all merge since before now. ..all of you be shouting coalition/consensus candidate kee una dia. The worse is even madam OBY
ReplyDeleteMerging is normal na. It's done everywhere
DeleteI don't get the noise
That one no get shame . Sometimes I feel the shame for her self . After her downfalls at bring back our girls ,one begins to wonder what exactly is her plan. She didn't get the appointment she was promised after bring back our girls, maybe now they will pay her back after her insults on atiku. It's obvious she came out to insult only Atiku and not even the sitting govt that has finished the country with their lack of ideas . Fela on the other hand should join his wife at the make up studio and stop making noise or better still start from house of assembly seems he wants to enrich himself through politics .
DeleteHmmmmm, this people just want appointment
ReplyDeleteYour head correct
DeleteCan someone please wake me up from this disaster Nigeria is turning into.
ReplyDeleteEveryone is using "coalition"as an excuse!
Did you all presidential cowards not think about this coalition before declaring your intentions and giving Nigerians false hope of a better tomorrow??!
I could have voted for a candidate like yourself and Oby but you two have proven to be just like them!
Are my pained??
Absolutely No!
This people are not ready to serve but just after their pockets. I like how Atiku didn't didn't debate with them.
ReplyDeleteAtiku is smarter than this supposed office workers . Confused sick people running for Presidential campaigns they know nothing about.
DeleteThese people are not serious.
ReplyDeleteNigeria is finished!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe yours is finished..., not my own NIGERIA! She's still got prospects and shall rise again!
DeleteEveryone outfit his or her own selfish interests
ReplyDeleteStupid coalition wey Dem dey form. Instead for them to gather support for Atiku and try to defeat this mountain before Nigeria, they are wasting time and resources.
ReplyDeleteThey would have negotiated for positions where they feel their impact would be felt instantly and use the experience gathered for future aspirations. Eg ..... Oby Ministry of Education
Moghalu ....Trade & Investment or Power
Fela ...... Anywhere
I don tiya for these people Jare. Naija we hail thee. Wasted votes loading
Lmao. Their purpose for joining the race wasn't to win anyways cause they all have zero chances of nearing there. Wetin be their political history? What's the highest political office you've ever held? You just wake up overnight and decide to run for the number one office, come TV and begin blow grammar in Presidential debate and you think you'll win? Hahahaha
ReplyDeleteNigerians will make the worst mistake of their lives if they vote in Sowore thinking he will bring true change. Sowore is an Activist not the leader Nigeria needs at this point in time. But I see more gullible, desperate people turning towards him.
ReplyDeleteOshiomole too was once a freedom fighting activist. Seeing his new life who would believe it is the same man.
Sowore is as corrupt as the rest of them. He too is after his own stomach and pocket, not that he genuinely loves Nigeria.
I am happy that the electorate are coming to that place where they realise that they have the power to vote out a non performing ruler after 4 years. Our political class will soon realise that despite the juju and cult activities, Nigerians want a better society.
We still have a long way to go but I trust God to help us by His grace and mercy
Soro whatever isn’t even up for a debate. If Nigeria has a fair election atiku will win. If not, Buhari will. We have only two candidates the rest know what they are looking for, but it’s not the presidential seat. Banky on the other hand, lost cause
DeleteI agree with you 100%. Sowore is only after money. A man that cut his teeth through blackmail. He has already made a deal with Tinubu to support APC eventually in the hopes of getting office by 2023!
DeleteNonsense and ingredient. No wonder Atiku refuse to debate with them
ReplyDeletebetter for him oo let's know who to face so as not to scatter the vote
ReplyDeleteI didn’t read, he is not qualified and if presidency comes back to the south, it should be south east.
ReplyDeleteSomeone said it o.
ReplyDeleteSomeone said it that this was the plan ALL ALONG!!!
My people!
Ah to say I'm disappointed in until understatement.
Is it possible to find people of integrity in this country?
Big SHAAAAAAAME!!!!
I like this man but it seems you'll want appointments after all. With the coalition talk, they might no win. Those of us that wanted to vote for you will just sit down at home on that day.
ReplyDeleteI just heard that Inec refused Oby withdrawal ohhh, That if you want to withdraw it should be at lest 45 days to election not weeks
ReplyDeleteThis is what they should have done before now, it’s still not too late. Fela, Prof. Oby & Kingsley and others should come together to support Sowore to take Nigeria back...
ReplyDeleteKinsley moghalu and sowore are the best candidate
ReplyDeleteBest where????
DeleteAdd all of them Together, they still would nt gather 1.2M votes. Who know them?
DeleteGod forbid Sowore, these people think Nigeria is Great Ife? What nonsense. It was their selfishness that made PACT nonsense. See the youths we want to vote in. I'm pained, we are not ready.
ReplyDeleteLmao... Nigeria is great Ife part killed me oo. Inec already refused Oby withdrawal sef.
DeleteSowore is a product of Unilag.
Deletesonore was SUG president when i was a gambit in Unilag
DeleteOby Fela and co you people should stay in one place and stop confusing the THUNDER.
ReplyDeleteNo big deal na.. He can't win.

I sincerely think they should have chosen a consensus candidate earlier. It would have been a stronger force. U can imagine Oby, Sowore, Moghalu, Durotoye all in the same ship. They may have left it too late but now is a good time to start planning for 2023
ReplyDeleteDo we plan? That is the major problem with us as a nation. After this February, it becomes business as usual until another year of election. This coalition is coming a bit too late. This is what they should have done since... bring one person out to stand as a formidable force against BUTIKU. But no, everyone wanted to run for presidency. Now this...
DeleteOkay oh.
