Is it possible to start a business with N20k?Like a puff puff business? What are the things to look out for when you are purchasing such?I would never buy puff puff locked in a show glass but would prefer you fry for me as as soon as i get there.....Is this not a better option?..Some people even sell left over and re-fried puff and lose their customers and they begin to blame their enemies...
Make up artists?I hear the big time ones make a lot of money.....What qualifies one to be termed big time?
Wedding vendors?Good business, how does one start off?
Are there some businesses that are gender specific?
You can share big and small ideas and give tips to how you built yours!

ReplyDeleteStella that your puff puff suggestion can never work in Nigeria. One will mix the flour, keep it and wait for customer to come before frying? Hehehehe. Nigerians are always in a hurry. Sometimes you will even run and sell to someone in a moving vehicle.
DeleteAbout the show glass too, local government health officials do harrass people selling puff puff and other snacks without show glass or plastic rubber with cover. If you display your puff puff in open air like that with all the dust and germs flying around, it is not hygienic and some people won't even buy.
I'll like to go into selling of kids clothes. Buy from Ali-express and sell online like Ig, FB etc. I'm still doing my feasibility study . Pls if anyone is into this business, advice me. What are the pros and cons? How lucrative is it? Thanks
DeletePlease I need idea on how to go into phcn payment. I mean payment of nepa bill.
DeleteWe don't have it in my area.
Please help me.
Reading mode activated too
DeleteMadam B, go to their office (PHCN office) close to you. After everything, they will give you their Baxi Box which you will be using to pay the bills. Also, you can do I on Trueteller if you have Internet enabled computer or Good Android phone. You will just charge the customers accordingly. To increase your profits, you can also add DSYV and startimes bills payment to it.
DeleteDSTV
DeleteThanks Entre. I will visit their office then. I really appreciate.
DeletePls Enter how can i do that on trueteller am interested
DeletePls Entre enlightened me more on the trueteller ine
DeleteMost of the girls are only interested in fuckunizer business not 20k puff puff business.
ReplyDeletePls is there anyone into export business? Things like our Nigerian foodstuff, I'll really like to go into it mini scale but I need a mentor. Pls help!
DeleteOh! Bless your heart for this post Stella Artois😉😊, I'll be back for ideas to tap on, God bless you all as you volunteer to help. I'm actually the anon that has been on about 50k-100k biz since yesterday... Thank you, please keep the ideas rolling in.
ReplyDeleteWhatever business you want to get into should be people centric and fast moving. Cos you have a capital that you will have to reinvest in the shortest possible time. So let's say consumables and wearable won't be a bad start for you.. Cheers
DeleteI really want to invest a little money but my problem is people I give money for business always let me down. Once they get hold of the money, its one story or the other. I will not see any dividend or capital abi na jinx?
Delete@anon 15:06. Before giving people Money for business, always asks what's in it for me (WIIIFM). This helps you properly place your investment in that venture. Discuss if it's a loan to be paid back and at what interests or timewframe. And if not, always pitch for a stake in the business. Say a 5% without further investment. So once the business begins to make a Naija, you get that share and if it crumbles eventually, you have not lost totally. I know the question will be: how do you know if the business makes profit. Well, that's where proper documentation and agreements must be put in place prior any disbursement. Cheers
DeleteAnon 15:06
DeleteYou give the wrong people money for business that is why they let you down. If anyone can invest in me, the person will start recieving dividends after one month
anon 14.06 which ever business you choose I will support you with 100k. I love your hustle. reply here then I will email Stella. God bless your hustle and Happy new year

Deleteyou're welcome
DeleteThis is good o,let me bookmark it but I want some people to know that not everyone is business savvy. I don't mind working in a company for some years jere.
ReplyDeleteI studied geology from a reputable university. I reside in the west. I need a good job this year with faith
It may interest you to know that Nigeria of today. Being a salary earner without side business is too risky and can be so frustrating. Just advising
DeleteWith 20k, one can even go into bedspread business
ReplyDeleteYou can buy the okirika bedspread @1200# per one
With 20k you can purchase like 18 bedspread and resell to those who can't afford new ones
It's really a good business for students
And I plan on starting that soon once I'm able to raise some cash before this month runs out.
Its a new year, don't be idle, try to make your own money and be a self boss
If you can try engine oil business as well, its profitable, but its good to buy in 25litres in other to get double profit ,the only disadvantage is you get dirty easily if u aren't careful
DeleteBut they harrass you to join their association and police still ask for their share claiming it's black-market, I have 50k and I need ideas please help
DeleteWith 50k u can go into American cotton bedspread.u make atleast times 2!or over.hence u make atleast close to 200% profit or even more depending on how u can market them and the caliber of the people u are selling for
Deletealright I will email Stella too
DeleteGod bless u sdk for this post.
ReplyDelete*spreads mat*
Today is second, I thought it's gonna be a good year but right now I feel so defeated. It's going to get better, but I don't feel it being good not to talk of it getting better.
ReplyDeleteWell, you shouldn't conclude just on the second as you said. It's too early to write off yourself and accept defeat. Until we accept we are great and meant to achieve more, we will keep being our number one enemy. So dear Abra, please girdle your loins, brace for the storm, paddle for the shore and don't get yourself defeated by yourself. I wish you all the best and please be strong.. Cheers darling. Make it a good year and let's chant and sing halleluyah at the end of the year together..
DeletePlease I need more ideas on the drink business
ReplyDeletePeople buy this "Bigi Drinks"alot. But someone said I have to wait for like 3months after registration to be supplied.
I want to be selling at the company price to parties and retailers.Coke is a no for me, can still do Pepsi too.Rebate will be my focus.
But all is connection. God help me.
Why not coke? I sincerely want to know
DeleteChummy cho,i did my market survey and discovered that Bigi has varieties like tropical, apple and the likes and it's sold for #100 while small Coca-Cola is #100 and the 60ml is #150.
DeleteI prefer what people likes more and sells faster.
Buying and selling of the "biggi" and big colas is a function of the society we are where people desire quantity over other things. You can get your supplies once you are ready to get started as no key distributor of marketer will ask you to wait 3months.. Get the contact of the commercial and marketing department, speak to someone inside and you can get started.. Challenge with coke is the price and people tend to ask why buy a coke for 150 when cola sells for 100 and Pepsi also sells for same.
DeleteDo you also know that you can start OK sneakers and shoes with 20k or less.I have a woman who goes to Cotonou, when she opens you pick your choice for as low as 1k and sell for #1,500.Very nice sneakers and shoes.
DeleteBale people are also at Arena complex at oshodi.
People now prefer Bigi and Cola to Coca Cola(Coke et all) especially in Lagos. Coca cola is now "priding", small quantity with inflated price.
Delete7up sef that used to be #70 is now #50 at retail price.
Success in your Biggi drinks business sisterly.
Orente..I'm interested in that sneakers business o...pls how can I do it...tanks
DeleteSharon,dm me
DeleteI dey follow enter ur dm abeg
DeleteCoke is becoming so reckless. I saw dead insects in 2 bottles Within a week, fuck 2 within a week?and the law holds no body accountable. 2 times in a week was too much for me to handle so I stopped taking Coca Cola drinks.
DeleteOlori Orente
DeletePls contact their office on phone, email or any social media platform (if they have). It doesn't take that long to become a distributor as long as you meet their conditions of space and cash
Please olori orente am interested in that OK shoes and sneakers business.. Please how do I get in touch with you for more info.. I don't know how to Dm you though
DeleteGod bless you all 💋💋💋💋
DeleteKelechi, you can get my number from beloved
Olori, please can i also contact you?
DeleteYou can start selling okrika (used clothes) also you can start a fabric business with 20k
ReplyDeleteI am into this type of business and I can confirm that you don't need much capital except you buy bales; If you don't buy in bales, you can
Delete1.PICK:in this case you go to a market and meet people who open bales and buy any quantity of your choice from them, you can decide to pick first grade wears of children clothes(I started with this)tops, trousers,or any other clothing you prefer.Just remember that first grade wears are costlier because they are very close to new
2.CLEARANCE:this is for people who may not afford to pick.Clearance is the remaining clothes after people may have picked to their satisfaction and the seller decides to sell off the remaining in bulk. When you clear, you buy all the clothes at an amount you and the seller agree on.
For any one of the above you are doing, dont forget to go for London wears, credit kills the business
Zainab makas
Pls how do I get u.k first grade female gowns. Do you have a link? I m in Abj
DeleteHello how and where do you buy these bales?
DeleteEven though i don't know how far it is true, someone said the selling of that noodles, egg and tea is very lucrative, that one tends to make double of the capital within two days.
ReplyDeleteIf you are prepared for some of the stress that comes with it. However, the operating cost for that should not be neglected. It's about a 30-50% markup on each noodle you sell, so it's relatively good and note that the key to the business is LOCATION and customer relations... Cheers
DeleteNice topic Stella
ReplyDeleteSomeone suggested crayfish business in my inbox. How do i go about it?
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile i am thinking of becoming a coco cola distributor and i heard its capital intensive? Does anyone have any idea how much it will cost me? And how i can go about it.
Is it advisable to get a loan mostly from family members ooooh not banks in order to start a new business?
Biko where are the business moguls in this blog? come out lets tap from ur pool of knowledge. I want to buy a G wagon too this year lol.
It's pretty advisable to get loans from family members to start any business as those are your first customers and surest link to finance. Second will be your close friends and allies who believe in your deal. Apparently, you cab offer your friends a stake in your business as owners if you want their capital for a longer period. Say a 1% or less stake. Bank loans kill small businesses as you will be paying close to 40% interest which many people don't know.
DeleteGo and get loan from banks. Family members can't trust you with their money Bcos of previous disappointments and being taken for granted.
DeleteMost learned people are wiser not to borrow family today and receive heartache andinsults tomorrow.
Some even pretend they forgot to pay back.
All the best in your Coca Cola business and bank loan.
My new year resolution is not to invest on family. Give them loan and kiss it goodbye.
DeleteCoco cola isn't giving out distributorship anymore, they have mega distributors now,you can buy from them and no longer directly from Coco cola.there is no more rebate.this takes effect from March 2019.but they stopped giving d distributorship right last year.you can also do your findings
DeleteFamily and friends will jot look your side. Well it depends on the family sha.
DeleteWell, sourcing for funds for small business shouldn't start with a bank because what comes with it actually kills the business and Moreso, which bank will give you loan based on your idea or that you have a propect revenue line. Even if you have. That will still cost you some money to get an analyst or pro to design a business plan and growth projections for your business which is subjective to the bank to accept or reject. The first real source of finance for a small business is family, friends, colleagues, and your immediate investment minded pool. So don't let this issue of disappointed family members melt you. You have to preach what is in it for them cos they have to see the value their money will generate and what your repayment plan is and once these are documented and visible. You are good to go.. Cheers
Deleteimo, I don't advise people to get loans from banks to start up a business.bank loans are good but they are better used to upgrade or expand a business because of interest and repayment plans.
Deleteif you have dependable family source and you are honest about repayment,by all means get your loan from family
Zainab makas
Thanks guys i appreciate your input. Amma make more enquiries and see how to go about the coca cola business or amma just switch to big cola, bigi, pepsi and co.Thanks once again guys y'all rock.
DeleteThanks for this, waiting for more ideas, I must start something this year, thinking of selling pet drinks
ReplyDeleteDoing this is fine as long as you are able to locate a good spot or where you live is one where people won't find it hard grabbing a chilled bottle. Except otherwise, you want to sell in bulk to the guys in traffic.. Goodluck
DeleteYou can start a hair business with 20k. Braided wigs. Buy like two wig caps for N400-500 each. Buy four attachments big at N1,000 each. That’s 4K. Then look for a good braider let the person do a nice neat style. Pay the person 4K if it’s long braids, 2,500 if short. Sell for between 12 and 18k. I’m speaking from experience. This is how I started.
ReplyDeleteBraided wig biz is saturated. I bought it for 8k two weeks ago. The best is if you know how to braid by yourself
DeleteVery true 15:00. It's better for the seller to braid it herself in order to cut down cost of production
DeleteI'm here to learn
ReplyDeleteI am a wedding vendor, but i deals on bridal gowns alone, since i makes them, i get very expensive laces n organzas, nets, flowers, n makes a very hot gowns that would make d wearer feel like
ReplyDeleteshe's wearing vera wang, then lease it, only leases, after getting my money back with profit, i put it up as a bid n sells to d highest bidder, , Ghanaians ,Togolese bid too cos i sends it across free of charge, i do it more like charity cos i lease d gowns to people who can't afford vera Wang but wanna look like a million bucks on their day.
Good one. I hope to learn how to sew soon too.
DeleteAnon 14.37,pls i get ur contact? I would like to get in touch with you. Thanks
DeleteI am very interested. Please all the business moguls tell us what to do and how to do it.
ReplyDeleteWhat to do is having the desire and passion to succeed. Having the right customer you want to serve and their market preference. You need a very good knowledge of customer service, client relationship and quality products. How is all bent on the business/product you want to push to this identified customer group. SMEs cry for funds but the major problem is actually lack of structure and business plan. Lack of some bookkeeping skills nor attempt to keep records and end up seeking for loans and finance when they could not multiply the startup capital they had
DeleteThank you.
DeleteBe my friend so I can learn more please.
Fish business...not cat fish rearing, buy n sell fish, how you market n present it is up to you.
ReplyDeleteBlackberry I'm very interested in this dear. Can you shed more light? Thanks
DeleteYou buy carton fish, smoke n sell or sell it fresh if u have a freezer n electricity,u can sell it fresh. There's a carton fish that doesn't smell, it moves very well, its curved.
DeleteThanks. I'll do my research and kick off.
DeleteFood business, in school those days, we own a food space, my roomie n I, got 3 girls from d community to cook, after we graduated, we stopped...but food sells, you must get money...and we started it with part of our fees, risky move but I got my fees back cos business picked up fast..na food.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. Cooked food business is good. You will eat from it and also sell and still make profit. Just get someone to be washing plates and assisting you as the business expands. That is what is sustaining me and my children even though I only sell in the morning for now as a result of lack of decent space.
DeleteWelcoming my sis Martha C.U. On sdk family and funny bvs . Award winning blog
ReplyDeleteNice post
ReplyDeleteYes oh... nice post Stella. We must make money this year. Amen
ReplyDeleteIf you have up to 500k, you can start distribution of this plastic soft drinks. If you can't visit their office/factory, contact their customer care and tell them your intention, they will direct you to the right place to go and start the processing. It is moving very fast and there is profit in it.
ReplyDeleteAlso, if you have the mind to sell beer, whether wholesale or retail, it's also lucrative.
👌👌👌👌👌👌
DeleteSo true @ Entre at that beer parlour business. There is profit in beer. One of my mum's friends used the business to train all her kids in the university. They are all grown and married now. She is still selling her beer and even lending them money
DeleteYou mean the woman at Bona bus stop inside the estate at gate.
DeleteDrinks and food business is d best, cos pple will eat and drink no matter wot
ReplyDeleteCharcoal business is very lucrative.
ReplyDeleteU can start with any amount, just depend on how committed u are to the business..
I dont tie,I just sell in bags and from supplies u can get #800 per bag and sell for #1500,1200,if u can tie them #50and 100,u can resell for #2000..u can buy as much as u want if u have the space and money, and when if scares u can sell as much as #2500 for a bag...I really want to do this business well, like be the only distributor in town😂na money dey keep me...I love it..I hope this helps
Are u into this business, mrs Sharon aminu?if yes would like u to put me through.please drop a comment.
DeleteVery correct Sharon
DeleteThis is what I want to go into. I analysed it in that business giveaway post but I wasn't picked. One can buy as much quantity as one can afford. If you can tie it in black nylon for #50 and #100, one will make more gain. Some of my neighbours use up to #250 worth of charcoal to cook in a day.
I know the villages where I can get from The suppliers directly at cheap price. I pray God answers my prayers and send help to me.
Yes I am,ask me anything u want to know about this business, I will answer u
DeleteI have empowered my sil,she buys from me on credit and tie them to resell, then pay.
DeleteI'd advise Kayan Mata business, we all know sex sells. It sells like hot cake and so cheap to start. All you need is a trusted supplier from the North, with 10-20k, you're good to go. Note that you can make ×100 of your invested money as profit. All you need is marketing, strategic marketing.
ReplyDelete1.Buy catfish dry it and sell
ReplyDelete2. Block industry
I'm interested in dried fish. It will be a good combo with kpomo.
Deleteif you want to buy live or smokd catfish.. I have in large quantity please
DeleteLet the ideas keep coming
ReplyDeleteBlock industry, you need like 700k, for a start, construct the machine pls dont mould with hand, rent a plot of land, get water. You dont need to be always cos you know how many block you get in a bag, no loss cos the damaged block will be crushed and used. You hire trucks for distribution till you buy ur own.
ReplyDelete3. Pure water
4. Bakery
Forget that talk about knowing the number of blocks a cement bag makes, You need to be on ground for proper supervision, unless you want to enrich the moulder's you employed.
DeletePls is anyone in Abuja, or kubwa precisely into bale of ladies clothings cos am interested, need to start something
ReplyDeleteWow, am learning and picking things, money must be made this year
ReplyDeleteAm gaining from all this business ideas keep them coming, we making money this year.
ReplyDeleteKiddies clothing , from ages 0-15 is a fast moving business if well managed, and fully stocked, I wish to venture into it by God's grace, all my friends doing it are balling hard
ReplyDeleteHello Treasure. I am very much interested in this business. Can you please link me up with your friends or where I can get baby clothings wholesale?
DeleteAlso adire business, it sells well if you're in North or north central, they appreciate it here because it's not common and the gain is much if you can buy direct from Abeokuta
ReplyDeleteImproving small scale business takes a lot of discipline and desire to endear to basics of success. Your product/business is only selling because you have people buying. So customer service and relationship management is key if you want to have continued patronage. The challenge with small business is not mainly finance but structure. Many people who do small businesses here don't even have a book for records nor do account reconciliation at the end of the week or month to evaluate their revenue and cash position. Their business plan is not structured but just anywhere belle-face syndrome. It is imperative that to succeed, you must also define the market or customer you want to serve or sell to, their preferences as well as how they will like to be served. Remember, people now like to be serve where they live and in today's world, we all live on our phones. So how do you grab the attention of that guy that posts his meals daily on his walls or that babe that has been posting with same bed sheets for past 3 weeks, or that dude that says posts he is always in ratify or uber, how can you serve this people and give them value for same or marginally lower costs. The word is VALUE which is what people pay for at the end of the day. So whether you are expensive or cheap, what is the customer experience?... Cheers
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for this...please how can I get across to you..I need help on structure and sales..
DeleteI was educated by this post, can you enlighten me more about business structure, market strategy and how to attract target population
DeleteCharcoal business is very lucrative. But this depends on the area. For instance you can't be selling it in Lekki or VI or GRA. It moves in areas where we are middle class and lower class people. You can buy a quantity to the afford to buy and still make you profit. I hope to go into it when God blesses me with the cash
ReplyDeleteWhat do u mean by lower class people?
Deleteand you thing everyone in those areas are wealthy??there are some places there were people live in wood houses, there are lots of local restaurants on the island and they use charcoal, stop saying what you don't know just cos of the things you see on instagram.....
DeleteOstrich you probably have not been to these places you mentioned or you just passed through the major roads. They have shanties on the island too and they use charcoal and firewood also.
DeleteAlso underwear like pant, tight, tubed, bra , singlet and boxers is a good business, you can add jewelries to it, I have a lot of business ideas but no capital, I know this year is my year of breakthrough
ReplyDeleteDay care, convert your sitting room, tell your friends, church people
ReplyDeleteVery nice one. My daughter's first daycare was in this type of setting and the woman was making cool cash in her sitting room.
DeleteI am willing to go into this second hand clothing business if God remembers me again this year. Since my friend in China allowed Devil to use her and sat on my savings, If I see little cash now, I will deal with the things I can see here in Nigeria. UK grade one clothes like children wears or ladies tops and gowns is lucrative. Make sure you go early and pick very neat ones if you are not buying bales. Just ask those that are selling it, they will link you to those opening bales. Best of luck. This year is our year of progress.
ReplyDeleteGod will remember you. Just start all over, no matter how small. You'll see what He'll do for you. Cheers.
DeleteI am in port Harcourt and want to know where I can find warehouse with AAA Bale around I don't want to get from Aba please
ReplyDeleteHi pls could you shed more light on this? I'd like to venture into this business but only Online as I don't have enough money for shop yet. Where do your friends buy from?
ReplyDeleteIs 100k fine for a start?
Are you referring to Bale business
DeleteStarting a business is good but it is very important to know that not everyone is business savvy, and again you must undergo some trainings as to understand the rudiment of the business you intend venturing into. You need to know who are your market targets and the suppose service satisfaction you intend to render. In business, if you concentrate more on profit than consumer satisfaction, then you have fail. One who isn't good in business can as well be exceedingly good in skills.
ReplyDeleteLately, I have been advicing people to look more on skills acquisition than business. A good skill can shoot you to millions in less than a year compare to business knowing the competitive economic situation of Nigeria at the moment that doesn't allow business flow smoothly.
Handwork pays massively lately compare to starting a business. I have some good skills paying that takes like six month, one year and so on to acquire but let me stick to the topic that says business else I would have elaborate on them.
Please elaborate Teejay. Las las na money we dey find.
Deleteteejay please i wouldn't mind of you can digress from the topic at hand and talk a little about the skills one can acquire within a short period of time and make cool money from. thanks
DeleteOk... Castle I am on transit now will type when I get home.
DeleteKindly elaborate, money must be made
DeleteAm with Teejay on this one....From my own perspective, I think learning a skill like tailoring, hairdressing, mechanic and co would pay better in the long run.Let's take for instance Olori that wants to sell bigi products, what if before a year runs out and another product comes and overtake? It's good to have a business but businesses with skill help further...People would sew clothes for life, people would make hair for life....I am work in progress as I have started learning tailoring..
Delete
DeleteAlright let me try and see how fast I can write this down. Talking about skills, the first thing to come in mind should be, are you willing to get dirty for money? Skills are not for gentle men or lazy people, so if you are one, then I will recommend an office job with AC for you lolzzzz.
Below are some good and lucrative skills paying very well. They aren't the only skill one can learn but with this, when perfected gives one at least a profit of not less than 300-500k on a particular job you carried out. A female friend I know cash in very well on that POP and wall Screeding.
1. Interior design.
2. POP and wall Screeding.
3. Construction of Aquarium/water fountain
4. Production of chemical and hardener for flooring.
5. Installation of CCTV cameras,
6. Swimming pool construction
7. 3D Epoxy floor, ceiling and wall. (very expensive in learning as a result of the course of material)
8. Wall mural and descriptive painting.
9. Electrical installation.
By God special grace will love to teach one or two person for free when I am done with my training.
These aren't the only lucrative skill but believe me they aren't seasonal and pays triple of what smaller skills can give you. Any of the skill you don't understand above can be Google for better understanding.
@alabi yetunde you are right in what you said. Business can fluctuate or have a competitive rival but a skill sail through always.
DeleteI am a student I want to start a business with 20k when school resume am thinking of selling OK bags but I don't know where to buy it cheap so that student can afford to buy it, if I buy 1k I sell 1500k if I buy 2k I sell 2500k
ReplyDeleteCheck vesper along okoko but u must have an idea about it,otherwise, u might fall mugu
DeleteIf you are in Lagos try Vespa, badagry market or super....you go on their market days, very early and get really cheap and clean stuffs
DeleteIf you are in ph or any eastern state close to Aba go to ariaaria market
DeleteI used to buy Aba made ladies' footwear and handbags and sell in hostels anytime I'm going back to school. As a student of the school, I don't pay the usual trader fee. I go with 20-30k worth of goods and sell off everything within 2weeks, with very good profit. You can try it. Best of luck.
DeleteI'd start from PASSION,think deeply about what you like to do most and carve a business out of it,if u like fashion and people compliment your dressing, look around you and start with SOMETHING no matter how little,be sure to push and carry on no matter what,iv gone to the markets while sick because I coudnt afford to let the client down, you must ENJOY the hustle so any drama that comes with the business will not feel like a big deal, stop waiting for BIG CAPITAL,if u know your way, with 30-50k you will get whatever no matter how little(bag fit full if u prefer quantity to quality)be assured there's a market for ANYTHING!!
ReplyDeleteIce Block business sells, all you need is a little capital in a place with constant electricity and a good freezer if you can't afford an iced block machine.
ReplyDeletesell in places without constant light
Zainab makas
Can you recommend a freezer that works very well. Especially in a situation where you are using generator to avoid spending so much money on fuel.
DeleteStella happy new year. My own contribution is that anyone that wants to start a business should get some training on it. That's what we call apprenticeship. Those days,Igbos will send their sons for apprenticeship for up to six years after which the young man starts his own. Even the woman that sells roasted plantain on my street has two people learning the trade. My point is, do some research and get some knowledge on whatever trade you want to ply. Talent is not enough. Some people are good businessmen while others are not. Some are skilled but their PR is Zero. There's this lady that is near perfect when it comes to sewing and designing but her mouth is baaaad. Her type should employ a manager or staff who deals directly with clients. Know what you can offer, know your strengths and weaknesses, you are sure to prosper.

DeleteThis was the comment I was hoping to see as no energy to type anything.
Oil dey ya head full time.
Please can anyone help with cosmetics sale how to to go about it. Want to start with drug store makeups before moving to bigger band.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to go into cosmetics business, go to tradefair in Lagos and get it in wholesale at cartons or in dozens. Please do a research on what products works well and the ones that sell well in the market before buying, when you generate good customers, you get referrals and people will patronise you.
DeleteI also want to sell online too, thanks for the advice
DeleteApart from fixed deposit. How else can one reinvest money. Especially for those who do not have time to be physically present to monitor their business.
ReplyDeleteWell, you can buy T-bills with or govt. Bonds, would have advised the sukuk but it's closed. Other means is yet using the savings features the banks offer in their apps as incentive. Alat, piggy, i-invest by sterling etc. Cheers
DeleteYou can contact ARM for their money market investments, Forex trading is another good investment, buying up cryptocurrencies too.
DeleteI'm into natural drinks like pineapple juice, watermelon juice, tigernutmilk etc. thou I have little or no idea about the business. I started it because I got tired staying at home doing nothing. I know it's lucrative if properly managed. Please I need a mentor to put me through, Please I'm on my knees.
ReplyDeleteThanks SDK.

Selling of hijab material, design it urself, sew into different design is a very lucrative business but its more suitable for a muslimah so u can model it urself. uu can also add hijab pins, henna and jewelries.
ReplyDeleteSmall chops business is a very good business too but you need to learn the skills and be a professional at it. Makeup business too is good, selling of makeups and beauty products
ReplyDeleteI really want to start sewing.. . If this strike continues I will go to a fashion school.... i am confident I will do well there. .
ReplyDeletePop corn business is highly lucrative too and does not cost much for start up
ReplyDeleteBack then in school, there use to be these guys doing it, and the crowd was mad, recently it has started springing up in town and its very profitable from what i've gathered. Just make it tasty, they usually add milk and some flavour which gives it this entincing aroma that is so irresistible.
Just pick a good spot, package hygeinically and cash out big time
My sister used to send me children and adults clothes from the Abroad and I thaught I was making money, until June last year when I started helping my mom in the market, she sells tailoring things, and that business is very lucrative and doesn't have season at all. You make x2 of almost everything you sell.Am so going into it this year, lemme still be learning the ABC first.
ReplyDeleteFeasibility study is the key to getting good customers,in my area their is no single shop to get anything and we had to go like two or three streets away before we could get pure water,so what I did was begged my landlady and erect a container and starts selling every day needs since jobs are not forthcoming.I do sell a lot but no much capital to buy the goods in bulk and make higher profit but still hoping on God to provide more money as I sell things people can't do without in a day.check your area, see what people need that is not available and cash on it
ReplyDeleteNice one, let the ideals rolling
ReplyDeleteI would like to invest in small businesses if the person will be reliable and understand its business not charity.
ReplyDeleteI feel sad seeing how everyone is struggling and have to do everything for themself meanwhile we have a govt. even those that don’t want to do business or handwork are forced to cos of no job. May god help us all

And why I really want to do d hair business is because I have had a dream 2 different years where I had a deacon shop and I was selling .
ReplyDeleteAlso, if anyone has a 2nd hand electric popcorn machine, pls I want to buy.
Great ideas and tips.
ReplyDeleteAll these business ideas are very good but no one is thinking of how to provide solutions to people's health challenges.
ReplyDeleteIn our society people's health is being ravaged by all manner of diseases.
I have also discovered that it less costly to prevent than to treat diseases.
Even doctors are now more into preventing than managing
Am into providing solutions to health challenges and as well as prevention.
