He made 28 appearances (five starts) in all competitions, contributing two goals and one assist, with Liverpool releasing the following statement.
It read: “We can confirm Ovie Ejaria is set to return to training with the Reds after his loan spell with Rangers ended early.”
The 21-year-old midfielder’s problems were confirmed by Gerrard recently.
“Ovie’s a quiet kid,” he said. “He doesn’t give you much, so we are going to try to get inside Ovie. “Ovie is slightly unsettled at the moment, I spoke to him a couple of days ago.
“We decided it was best to leave him at home and the plan is to talk to Ovie on Friday to see where he’s at.”
Ejaria will now return to Melwood, where he will be assessed by Jurgen Klopp and the rest of the staff before determining where his next move to further his development takes place.
