Yaba boys all of them deserves to be at that yaba left..
ReplyDeleteAnnoying set of modafuckers.. Stupid pervert and useless beings ..
That's why I hold pin whenever I am going there touch me and I scratch u with pin .
Oh my, I wish I could join in this parade. This is loooonnnnngg overdue!!!
DeleteThe reason why I stopped going to Lagos Open markets, the harassment no be here, with the ringtone "Sister, follow me buy, follow me buy, stock jeans and tam top your size dey"
This should also be taken to the streets, all this pervs should learn to keep their hands to themselves.
As in an, that Yaba market is annoying and after they use sweetmouth to talk to you, if you don't see what you like they will start yabbing you. I am adopting your pub policy
DeleteEven the protest won't make them stop. It's in them already. Stupid set of people
DeleteIgbo boys are the main perpetrators
DeleteEven women don join the groping group now. I was at Balogun market and one lady was dragging me to come and buy...I almost broke her head cos I was furious!
DeleteI thought it was worse in Wuse market
Delete#stoptouchingus
ReplyDeleteWhen yaba was still in its glory days that's the only place you would want to go and ask your friend or neighbour if you can leave home with this wear because if you dress anyhow you might regret the day you were born because of groping and harassment.
ReplyDeleteIt does not matter how you're dressed, even if you wrap yourself from head to toe as far you are a lady those idiots will still touch you.
DeleteIt's so annoying.
ReplyDeleteI experience it less in Lagos markets
Go to Onitsha main market, those ones would grab and hold you very tightly, you would be struggling to free yourself, me I retaliate and hit their hands sometimes.
Na lack of customers to attend to dey cause all those nonsense
If you go into the market with your boobs and buttocks dangling that's what you get.
DeleteAnon 11:37 so she should keep her boobs and buttocks at home naa? Cause it's her fault its moving. Wonder the kind of training your mother gave you
DeleteThis just reminded me of an experience, we lived in the north all our lives so the first time our mother let us into onitsha market was a whole new experience.
DeleteFrom the grabbing and touching and rubbing, my sister finally told one boy off and the next thing he said was “what are you filling like, you should be happy I am grabbing you abi is it gold that you have in your yash” (in Igbo) my sister felt violated that day, it’s not a nice experience, they should really do something about it. Walahi if you can survive onitsha market you can survive any other market
Ammie no be lie....Main market is worse compared to Lagos. They do their own with full confidence. These guys will never change....such attitude is factory-fitted.
DeleteNice one
ReplyDeleteVery annoying. Touching someone anyhow.
ReplyDeletechai I thought I was the only one going through this.
ReplyDeleteEvery time I go to public markets it's always an altercation with these boys till I dread going to the market and started buying things from the boutique and shops.
Please let them do something about this o
That yaba market is just the height, so tey those Hausa boys too have joined in dragging people on the road.
ReplyDeleteThis is a much needed protest. Enough is enough.
ReplyDeleteI hate harassment of either sexes
ReplyDeleteWhen ladies stop frequenting the market they will say its village ppl at work, when they insult & assault ladies anyhow they wont know.... calling them all sorts names, ashawo, man atm machine, see her small nyash etc, just because you priced their product & didnt buy, even when u dont talk to them sef, just walking by to another shop, theyd say "To fuck this girl go sweet oh" all manner of rubbish! They should be cautioned. If one or two hasnt been a scapegoat, others will not learn. They can even slap your ass if care is not taken
ReplyDeleteLol
DeleteI support this movement!
ReplyDeleteYaba boy has really calm down oo, No More touching again what they do Now is follow follow..
ReplyDeleteYaba has changed. The harassment has reduced self. 10years ago when I worked there briefly before going to school, more than 10 guys will touch you before you get to your destination. Chai railway market, war front, tejuosho extension etc.
ReplyDeleteAda, my colour, student, you come today, I have fine fine things for you newly opened.......
Please what does that " my color" mean because I don't get it
ReplyDeleteI think its a response to one of those things they say when they grab you: My colour,my colour come and buy.
DeleteI also feel that this campaign should be brought down to Onitsha markets and even parks. The harassment at the park is even worse:more than one person grabs you, others grab your bags;they keep dragging and almost tear you to pieces and you end up with missing bags and wallets. Please this protest should be done in Onitsha
zainab makas
Maybe you are of the same complexion with the person
DeleteThey meant "My Cpmplexion"..That u have d same complexion with them.. Sometimes u will look back to see d person calling u my colour as he black like charcoal while u look very fair.. They do it to get ur attention..sometimes I burst out in laughter..
DeleteThe people doing these are our igbo brothers..Come to any Onitsha market and see worse.. I pray d govt will something to put a stop to dis nonsense.
It is not only yaba even Alaba international market too
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome. Long overdue self.
ReplyDeleteFunny how the harassments stopped for me when I decided to become a shopper, abi its that I don't notice anymoreπ€π€
ReplyDeleteI took a PLUS size client to the market few weeks ago and it was both embarrassing and sadπ’π’the loud comments and marwa+bus stopping in the middle of the road to look at this lady was appalling,it was HELL walking from UBA house to US plazaπ£
Long over due indeed.
ReplyDeleteNa una dey do oyibo dey waka like that na.
ReplyDeleteI enter market with a small hundred naira knife in my right hand and surgical glove on that same hand.
The expression on my face always shows that I would be very very very happy to use it.
I wear trousers, a shirt an a tight teeshirt underneath. Thank God I don't sweat too much.
I don't wear jewellry, not even a watch.
Also it's sturdy shoes on my feet and my sim from my Samsung to my old Blackberry.
The only time I drop the knife is when I'm back in my car and driving off.
You can't live a life in this country expecting respect as a woman from Nigerian men.
The DNA inside the Nigerian man is to treat the Nigerian woman like shit. The shit the secretly know they are inside.
Because these are men (most of them) more worthless than trash who think with their penises and brains full of air.
Then when you even expect sensible women to use their God given professional and non prefessional platforms to promote and uplift women, noooo, one whitewashed buffalo will open buffalo mouth and be yapping jack shit about gift women should expect....ehn the type of cooking a woman should do...ehn the kind of bed a woman should lay for her man...idiots, every single one of you.
I don fall down yakata Dey laugh oooππππππππππ
DeleteChoi.
DeleteLmao!
DeleteTell them oooo...
Even during this protest, the women were ridiculed and called names.
Its so easy to learn bad things for Lagos. The Hausa guys that won't shake you in the North self. From touching to Kidnapping to 419 to one chance to fake drug warehouse, to sniper beans to rebaging rice to baby factory. I hail this same people. I wonder what them go teach Nigerians in 2019 loading....or better still row Brexit line
