    1. Rich men will spend a lot of money building things but they just cannot spend money in maintaining their own property especially when they are making a lot of income from the property.
Well, the only people I can blame are the parents who pay to send their children to such a hazard called a school.

    2. If this was a federal school, it’s a different thing but a school that charges that much doesn’t have any reason for this dump. See their rooms, even federal schools renovate from time to time, I don’t think abu Zaria was ever like this

  9. Our maintainance culture is just too poor and to think this is a private institution. I hope the school has something to say about this.

Do human beings really live there?

How can I pay hundreds of thousands only to end up in such a dirty and unsafe environment.
I would rather my ward attends a school in Ghana if they can't make jamb than to be in such a place as Madonna

  17. Nawa. I visited this same school many years ago when the buildings were new and shiny. Nigeria has a problem of maintenance. Apart from that, most Nig architects construct quite poorly. Even if the priest releases the money for good buildings, he needs an honest somebody to see it through. Come and see 100 year old buildings and hostels in USA, still standing strong. Even normal apartments are clean and maintained. Its so sad.

  18. I just looked at the buildings again -- the dilapidated parts are the parts with the pipes, meaning the pipes are leaking, probably made with cheap materials. Same thing I said earlier, no matter the money you dole out for a project in Nig, you need an honest somebody to get your money's worth. They should fire whoever supplied those pipes. And whoever designed the building sef-- how can a pipe be running across a window. See 3rd pix, pipe is on a window???? Tufia Nigeria.

    1. It’s not even about cheap materials, water is the strongest force as far as I am concerned, I dint use cheap pipes for my house but after a while the pressure from the force of the water spoils it, what it needs is change, if you change it immediately it will prevent a lot, that’s why people abroad do not joke with plumbing. They always fix things immediately, the school is expected to have plumbers attached to it, so that as soon as something spoils it will be fixed

  21. Hummmm after collecting money for charity as he claims to be training the students for free, the very expensive school fees he can't fix the hostels? I don't think you can find any state or Federal University in this kinda condition.

  23. Every body is free to view his/her opinion, if you are the owner of the said property 4rm when the school was build to this day, how much profit have you made.
If you borrowed money from bank to build the money, how much interest you gain.
Just know that some student are dirty and very careless and one will not continue on maintaining property just to please the public.
their are other university to choose from if you don't like Madonna.

    2. The excuses you folks come up with to keep ppl living like animals. SO its the students who put potholes in the untiled, no real flooring rooms? Is it the students that damaged this building that should be condemned because it is not fit for human habitation. One thing I have noticed with many African cultures is this idea that African ppl do not deserve that which is good, anything that is substandard, subpar, ugly or useless seems to be what is considered fitting for the average African person. This is student housing, and not even proper flooring is in the room, bunk beds for grown ppl, and not even good quality bunk beds either, obviously no storage provided. This is one of numerous institutions like this across the nation. It was right here that a frustrated student submitted the state of his medical school, I could not believe that ppl who are being trained to heal the sick were being taught in such deplorable conditions. And it is not only the places of higher learning that are like this, government offices, hospitals, you name it ppl are expected to work and conduct business in vile, inhumane edifices and why? There is no other continent that does this like Africa does. Don't talk about if you don't like Madonna university go somewhere else, pull up your socks and start having a level of pride and dignity in yourselves and set a standard where African ppl know they are valued and deserving of all that is good and should not be subjected to this destitute existence because somebody else feels that this is all they are deserving of. if there is no gold standard then what will anyone have to aspire to?
