I only showed you the good lol 😂.I had to learn to come to terms with some realities about life. That being said, I learnt to navigate through difficult times and learn that no matter what, your attitude matters the most. It’s a year I must say that I realised than ever before, the place and how valuable people are to your success. I can’t start mentioning how I received help and whatever I am today has been a contribution of so many into my life. I am here because of them and GOD.

In 2011, Jonathan sold our electricity distribution licenses to incompetent companies that have no experience on electricity. When the then Minister of power; Prof. Barth Nnaji advised that it was not a good decision, he was sacked immediately and replaced with Prof Nebo. You remember?
ReplyDeleteThis contract of sale of the electricity distribution licenses were made irrevocable but renewable. To this end power became privatised since 2011.
When this government came on board, it discovered that the DISCOS were not ready to render services but to reap and recoup their investment capital immediately. The government could not repudiate the contracts because of the irrevocability clause and the doctrine of sanctity of contract. The hands of government became tied.
Then the blame is on government because the masses are unaware that power like telecommunications has been privatised by the PDP. They sold the licenses to their girlfriends and cronies that were hitherto into fast food business. The DISCOS started disconnecting communities from the the supplies in the name of estimated bulk billing system.
This government stepped in and went out of its way by providing incentives such as duty waivers and credit facilities to the GENCOs. This was done to boost power generation which was less than 3000 megawatts at the time Buhari took over. Today, power generation is over 7000 megawatts! And you think this is not change?
A vote for Buhari will ensure the non renewal of the electricity distribution licenses of these PDP cronies that have kept us in darkness. There is electricity but the distribution is the problem. The DISCOs are not ready to provide pre-paid metres, transformers amongst others to consumers. The estimated billing system and bulk billing system are frauds.
Next year, the licenses of these capitalist rapists will become due for renewal and they are already shivering that this government will not renew that stupid contract that kept us in darkness. A vote for Buhari will terminate that contract of darkness while a vote for Atiku will translate to selling more of our national assets.
Think about this and take a stand now.

My bestie in secondary school opened one and told me about it, she would always talk about how cool she is now that she has an email address and stuff, I usually envied her and wondered when I'd be able to get mine so I can be among the cool kids. I just didn't know how to go about it and I was too uppity to ask her so she wouldn't laugh at me. She was always talking about checking her box at home but not getting any mail, that the box was always empty. I'll be like oh wow so nothing inside the box? Like I knew what she was talking about. I used to to think the box was physical, like you open a mail and they give you your own personal physical mail box 😂😂😂 I was amazed! Always thinking about it like yo no need for post office and stuff, just open hotmail or fastermail and voila post office right in your house. Chai... I can't even remember when and how I found out how it all works.

There was a time on this blog where this platform was a community, a close-niche one for that matter not this begi begi and sob stori I now know. I myself have benefitted in times past, my wedding cake was discounted by tegz events some 3 years ago. My blog big sis Tetrina also gifted me some token to buy some lab rats for my msc thesis. This was about 4 years ago. But now I get tired of seeing pleas on almost every post. People doing all sorts to be popular because of giveaway. Some will purposely over do some things just to be seen and heard. While some other folks will organize a giveaway so that their nyansh can be licked and awon choristers can sing their praise and worship. I see all these things and look the other side. @Duchess I see the point in what you wrote but there is something some people don't understand, most people who often visit this blog, do that to either relax, entertain, learn a thing or two. Some even seek advice over some medical issues or career path while to some it has become a hobby.

What I found absurd is when even the ones who have no intention of asking for giveaway is being drag into it simply because they are constantly commenting. DeleteYesterday, I was on a 6hours trip back to Nigeria, seated besides me was 2 brothers from Edo state, from the minute we were asked to switch off our phones to when we landed, these chaps talked non-stop! ( how can somebody talk for 6 straight hours?)Jesus!. They spoke in a dialect I thought is the strangest of all dialects(I asked out of curiosity which part of Edo and they told me Fugar). While waiting for my pick up, over heard another couple of friends speaking in a stranger dialect again, calmly I walked up to them and asked which part of Nigeria they are from and I was told Edo Akoko! God! It occurred to me that in Nigeria, we have over 250 ethic groups with different languages in Nigeria alone! Across black Africa nko?
