December First Is World AIDS Day....

According to Wikipedia,World AIDS Day, designated on 1 December every year since 1988, is an international day dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection and mourning those who have died of the disease....

Rest in Peace to my two Older siblings who succumbed to the complications of HIV/AIDS..........
To those living with the virus,I hope you are not spreading it on and taking your drugs religiously?

Can you tell us your struggles and how you are treated when people hear you are living positive?

  1. It pays to use a condom, if u can't abstain.

If u have a cheating partner, use one.

U would not know that good health is priceless until u catch something.

It's a pity about those you lost Stella, may their souls continue to rest in peace.

I read somewhere that siblings are one's younger ones rather than the general belief that it means all your brothers and sisters.

  6. SDK I wept yesterday morning during tvc break fast show when they show the little survey they did in Lagos. Could you believe so many people are still living in ignorance concerning this virus.
Some guys said they never believe the virus exist, that it's a fallacy.
Some said they can never contact it bcos they're faithful and their is faithful.. Who told you its only through sex you can get it? Some get it through blood transfusion, unsterilized equipment from barbing saloon, tattoo shops, needle prick etc. My people ignorance is no longer bliss,is a curse. Let's go out today and get tested so that we will know our status. No need sitting on the fence. If you find out on time you can manage it better, but if you refuse and it turn to full blown AIDS by that time drugs cannot help na death sentence be that ooh.
I have the following advice for our Nigerian youths (15-45yrs) bcos they're the majority of people living with this virus in Nigeria presently.
    1.Nigerian youths always use condom
2.Get tested every six month and
If positive adhere to your drugs and don't spread the virus
3.Get tested for hepatitis B and C too. If non reactive to hepatitis B go get the vaccine it's free in all federal and state hospital.

  7. Wishing those living with the virus good health. It's a struggle.
I know someone living with the virus and still acting stupid. Small time she wants to believe it's spiritual attack. I told her bluntly that if she allows anybody to brainwash her and tell her to take Communion and holy water instead of her retroviral drugs that she's doomed.
I sha told her if she really wants to take the holy water it should be alongside her drugs. Someone told me recently that she's still going back to the guy who infected her, this is someone who is almost dying and still claiming he doesn't know he's positive.
Well I think the two of them are stupid and deceiving each other. Babe doesn't wanna tell guy she's positive, guy is claiming spiritual attack and she's believing him.

  8. My mum was diagnosed of HIV last year, she fell sick and was rushed to the hospital, they hospital did a test on her and it was discovered she had contacted the sickness. Though it was through the useless man that promised to marry her, she had a son for him before he contacted the sickness and also gave it to her. The man is no more though. When the doctor called me outside and told me about it, I almost died, they referred us to teaching hospital and her treatment started. To the glory of God, she is doing wonderfully well and always taking her drugs. My people if you go to their clinic, she will always be careful, because once you eat well and live a good life, you will be so healthy and people won't know. Nobody knows my mother has virus, because she's so healthy. At the clinic they told her to stop eating coconut and also taking alcohol.
