There are several days to remember, ranging from the first day I entered the elevator, how my date almost carried me, that sliding one o. I held him tight. People were just chuckling. Lol
DeleteThere was also the day I lost my sister in a ghastly car crash, hmmmm sad day.
The day I gained admission into higher institution, etc.
There is this day I always remember when I go out and see long bus.
I was new in Lagos, imported to Lagos a few days earlier. The very first time I went out, a cousin sent money to me and I wanted to go and collect it. They gave me directions to my bank, I went to the bus-stop, saw that white long bus (molue) parked there, I entered. As we were going, I noticed that when people say 'owa' the bus slows down, it does not stop completely before they jumped down, in my mind I was saying ' God, how will I jump, this is death o'. Another spirit said 'don't be silly, are you older than those jumping, see old man too'.
So when I got to my bank, I said 'owa' and the bus slowed down, I stood up, held on to a railing and begged the driver to stop, passengers said ' This girl go down na' I told them they have not stopped, people started shouting 'you be jjc? Abeg answer us jor, driver move abeg'
As the driver made to increase the speed, I told myself,
'you can do this, others did it even an old man, now rebuke that spirit of fear' that was how I jumped down and landed face down on the dirty ground. my bag flew away to the West, the phone in my hand went East, I just lied down there before some boys pulled me up, I was crying. They started raining cusses on the driver of the bus who was long gone. I only saw my bag, phone had disappeared from the scene.
Anytime I remember this incident, I just smile, I now jump up and down the bus anyhow.

DeletePraise thank you for making me laugh out loud
DeleteFirst snow.
ReplyDeleteWorst pain ever from tooth removal.
Crazy tubulence, Aero flight.
First ejaculation
The day i fully embraced Atheism.
ReplyDeleteThe freedom and relief is inexplicable.
Psalm 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
DeleteSo says your bible that agrees a girl should marry her rapist.
DeleteCome back & explain that part of the bible.... blind hypocrites
Yes I am back.
DeleteYou dwell in the Old Testament which is the shadow (Col. 2:17). The schoolmaster to bring us to Christ; Gal. 3:24. Did Jesus Jesus teach what you just mentioned. We have come to Christ; the Messiah and him only shall we follow. In your first elementary class you were told that "2 cannot divide 1" weren't you? In later elementary you were told that the answer is 1/2 and later 0.5. Was the first schoolmaster wrong? No, it was that your brain/mentality hadn't developed to bear the facts. But now that it has developed and gotten well advanced will you still say that "2 cannot divide 1?" No.
So why still dwell in the shadow and neglect the beautiful teachings of Jesus the way, Truth and Life? By the way I used to be a cynic -worse than just being an atheist until I met Jesus or rather Jesus showed me himself. Ask him to show himself to you. Regards.
I have many unforgettable moments that I will cherish till death but I think the one that takes the lead is that feeling I had in that particular moment when I pushed my baby into this world. The feeling of something huge leaving your body and widening your toto beyond your imagination.
ReplyDeleteThose few minutes of the baby crowning and then exiting...I can never forget them.

10th of may 2009 is one whole day I will not forget so quickly, my sister’s house help poured hot oil on my body, the pain was out of this world.
ReplyDeleteThe day my ex husband walked away, the day he picked his things and left the marriage, that night I couldn’t sleep, it was like film, it was like joke, it was like drama.
The day I got a job , the joy was something else, till today I still remember the dressing I did to the office that very day.
The abdominal pain I felt two weeks ago, that I was rushed to the hospital, I kept on crying, I couldn’t bath myself, prepare food for myself.
The day I went for HSG, omg that pain was out of this world, especially when you enter port holes, it seems your womb was going to pull out.
Let me just stop here and allow others to speak, I have a lot of events that I will never forget.

There are several diagnostic centers that know about it.
Icwish everyone success in the journey.
The day I did my traditional marriage and white wedding I was happy but I was not too happy, it seems the heart already knows the marriage was not going to last, that was why was not extremely happy. My joy was not much, I was just happy I was getting married but I was not fulfilled. Thank God it finally ended last year December, right now my life has so much meaning.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations...not much is worse than the bondage of a wrong marriage
DeleteThe Day I'll never forget was the day I heard the cry of my beautiful angelic baby melody, even in my subconscious state that cry registered and I woke up. No matter the kind of day I had, her smile and welcome hugs are what I look forward to everyday.

ReplyDeleteI was sad and still sad when I remember that conversation. Imagine people older than your parents. That you hold in high esteem. I cry any time I remember that conversation and that she could be convinced I would agree to sleep with her husband, even if he could approach me for such.most painful part is he has never asked me out, outrightly or suggestively.
Sending hugs your way my darling. You'll be vindicated. Some battles shouldn't be fought. Certain natural principles when broken, the consequences are inherent.

ReplyDeleteToday is my 7th year wedding anniversary.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. God be with your family always.
DeleteThere are so many memories but the one I will never forget is when I had my second child. I had him through CS abroad. It was just me, hubby and my first child. It was hell.
ReplyDeleteNo help from hubby, no pain killers, all I got was complain on how: I should be breastfeeding him too cos it's his right, how my tummy is big ( few days after giving birth) and about having breakfast late (11:00 am).
He wasn't concerned if I were in pains. I was prescribed some pain killers, he was less concerned about getting them for me. It was all about him.
i was always crying and depressed. But God saw me through.
Your houseband is wicked and a wizard
DeleteStupid man
DeleteIt was a festive season so we traveled down to the village. I was just a quiet kid always in her 'own world'😊 our house was always used as 'warehouse' whenever there are occasions. Meaning celebrants always bring stuff to hide in order to prevent stories that touch the heart. Taking a stroll around the house I saw were bags of pure water were carefully stacked. Kids are usually attracted to nylon because of the shakirishakiri noise it makes when squeezed. Someone came in to pick a bag of pure water and I asked if I could have one, the answer was affirmative. I smiled to myself as I sat down sipping my warra slowly. After that, I had another and another until I lost count. My tommy protruded! I tried to get up o but no way mehn so I jejely laid there like a Python that swallowed oversized goat. I heard my grandma calling out to me but the girl was too weak to answer. She came in and screamed as she saw me. People came rushing in o and carried me to a room. Nobody noticed the number of empty pure water sachets on the floor because of panic. My grandma being a spirikoko person rushed me with anointing oil, Bible and holy water. As she prayed, all I could think about was what will be done to me when they find out what really happened. The lady that permitted me to take the pure water heard I had an 'attack' and rushed to our house o. She narrated how she saw me where pure water was stacked, my mom went to check and saw what I consumed😂.....na so everybody burst into laughter! I was so embarrassed. I lost count of how many times I had to pee and water became alien to me fie many days. I was so scared of drinking it. Too much of everything is really bad
ReplyDeleteHahahahahhahahaha.Funny one

DeleteThe year I got admission into the university. That was after years of struggle. I felt so happy
ReplyDeleteSo many unforgettable days for me but the day that I will not forget was when I passed my driving test. After 3 attempts. I remember being so nervous that day. I woke at 5 am. The test was at 7:08am. My instructor picked me up at 6:30am. I did some practice before the test. When my examiner called my name, I followed him to my instructors car, did the eye check test. He asked me two show me tell questions. I did not get any. I was still nervous. He said, drive off when you’re ready. He was very friendly and asked me lots of questions about myself.
ReplyDeleteFifteen minutes into the test, he asked me to do a manoeuvre( parallel parking), I did it well. After that it was indipendent driving. I lost my way while doing it but he directed me back to the right route. My legs were shaking and I was sweating too. After 34 minutes, he directed me back to the test centre and told me to park in a bay. I did and stopped the car.
The he said, where is your instructor? He wanted to share my result with him because I already told my examiner that I would like him to be present for the results. We waited for 2 minutes, my instructor came and the examiner said, congratulations you have pass your test. I screamed and gave him a big hug , turned to my instructor gave him a hug. I reached for my phone to call my husband the examiner told me to wait because I need to sign some paperwork. I signed and told my instructor to drive me home. I only got five minor faults.
That day was unforgettable to be because of psychological stress involved in driving test, the money, time and energy . I can never forget that day.
Aww this must be a big one for you. Congratulations darl

The day my aunty gave birth
ReplyDeleteSo I was very close to this certain aunt of mine being that she took care of me when I was little, hence the closeness.
She was pregnant and time to born reach (she gave birth at a midwife's place due to financial setbacks as at then) as a result, I was able to watch and hear what was going on
After all the usual shouting and all that, midwife told her to push and while pushing, she was screaming
Ah, after this one I no do again... I'll close toto.. Mummy, I promise not to do again. Everything na my husband fault o, he comes home every night and asks and when I give him he'll be pounding away... (shouts in between), his thing is too big....
She kept on talking and embarrassing the husband
Finally, she pushed and out came a very beautiful baby boy
She was about to relax when the midwife shouted at her not to close her legs, the other baby is coming (before you ask, no she didn't do scan)
Na so another round of talk started and was like midwife , let me rest please, this one will come back later. The husband shouted saying no o, dear just try
The wife looked at him with one kain bad eye and said, no more F###ing as from today
I no do again and out came another baby boy.
It was funny and it's a day I cannot forget because I watched two beautiful creatures come into this world... It's been almost 5 years now and I still remember the day vividly. I thank God for their lives as things are now better financially for them
forgive any errors or typos
it's a long story abeg

Deleteso many days I can't forget but can I ever forget the day he invited me to a hotel?
ReplyDeleteit was just like every other time we met, nothing ever happened between us till that day. He fingered me and I lost my virginity. I saw d blood coming out of my most private part. I touched it while crying and threatened to curse him and his generation but he dared me and said he was going to 'bang' me if I tried dat. I was just 17 and it was a day to my first jamb. The incidence is forever embedded to my memory.
too chicken to use my ID but I am golden
Thank your god he didn't rape you, useless girl. At 17, you were already meeting with a man in an hotel. Even a day to your JAMB. Ashawo girl
DeleteThe first day I got a bj. It was heavenly. I spoke hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, efik, kanuri, Spanish, Chinese join. Funmi if you are reading this, may your days be long.
ReplyDeleteThe days I will never forget are many. Chai
ReplyDeleteThere is this particular one though. It is the day I had my first and only child. After I delivered her and we were moved to the ward, the baby was crying and they said I should breastfeed. I was sitting on the bed. As soon as my nipple entered her mouth and she started sucking at it, a serious pain hooked me at my abdomen, in a flash, I removed my breast and dropped the baby on the bed. The pain was unbearable. The nurse standing and monitoring me and my elder sister became furious, they started abusing me asking if I want to injure the baby with the way I dropped her any how, they now said if it was a man that was sucking the nipple I will be enjoying and saying oh yes oh yes. They carried the baby and put in my arms again.
I just started crying, they now shouted that I should not allow the tears to drop on the baby cos it is a taboo, I quickly cleaned my face. Lol. Then the matron came in and asked what happened, they quickly told her, she now said they should not shout on me, that it's the uterus going back to its position and that its very painful especially when baby is sucking.
I totally relate. That pain is something else
Delete😨 there's more pain after birthing? Eve why?! Why did you eat the apple?
DeleteThe day my uncle's wife came to Lagos from Benin for the first time. She was persuaded by her friend to stop going to Onitsha to buy tailors' accessories, she decided to accompany her friend and also do her own shopping.
ReplyDeleteWhen it was time to board a bus,the friend rushed into a bus with other lagosians, she on the other hand crossed to the other side of the road, fell and injured her leg badly. Her friend soon noticed she was not in the bus,she alighted and went back to the bus stop only to find my uncle's wife on the opposite side surrounded by people. Her friend asked her why she did not board the bus, she said when she saw people rushing towards a bus,she thought something was happening and made an attempt to run to the other side but she fell and injured her leg. That was her last time of coming to Lagos.

DeleteMy unforgettable day was on this day(3rd of November 2005). It was my mum's birthday celebration and a child went missing. Come and see panic, meanwhile a Pastor around our estate had warned her a week before that she should not do any party and make noise for seven weeks. But she did not believe in all those prophesy.
ReplyDeleteSo when that child went missing she was shouting:
"eba mi pe pasito, eba mi pe pasito " meaning "call pastor for me, call pastor for me".
People were surprised because she is a Muslim. The Islamic clerics there were just saying awusubilahi awusubilahi, lol.
Thank God the child was later found three days later, people were already saying she used the child to prolong her own life. Since then, some people were now calling my mum "iya eba mi pe pasito", they will call us the children "omo iya eba mi pe pasito" until recently.
Today is her birthday. She stopped celebrating her birthday since that incident, we only wish her happy birthday and get her gifts sometimes.
This takes the crown
DeleteE ba mi pe pasito

Tears on my face oh
Am just replaying the scenario in my head and laughing alone

ReplyDeleteMine wasn't a day, it was a season or a period of time if you like. It was an embarrassing season for me. Way back in secondary school, i liked a girl that lived opposite our house and i stupidly wrote her a love letter. Her name is Ada and she messed up my rep on my street. Almost all of our mates in the street read my love letter. Mr loverboy became my name for a while. Was such a relief for me when we moved.Haven't been able to forget that embarrassment.

DeleteI cannot forget the day I embarrassed myself at our departmental gathering because I didn't know how to peel a pineapple. I started by slicing it and it turned out to be such a mess. 😔
ReplyDeleteOuch
DeleteThe day I will never forget is the day that I called my sister and she didn't pick. I have never, in my over 40 years been so embarrassed in my life. I would rather die 20 times than for me to go through that again. In fact, once I remember that day, I can't help myself. I just start weeping and this may go on for hours.
ReplyDeleteI can never pray for such a day even for my worst enemy.
Oh fuck off with this rubbish you keep posting... Anumanu
DeleteI would never forget the day i entered one chance..it was on a Tuesday morning in September, 2017. i was on my way to work on the island, boarded a bus with other passengers dressed like they were going to work too, 7mins into our journey the guy sitting beside me suddenly grabbed my neck and was alomst choking me. I struggled, tried to scream but only got serious beating in the process. They put me on the floor of the bus and started stepping on me then the leader of the gang closed the door. They kept driving round and in the process asked so many questions like where i work, how much i have in my account etc...when they realised the amount they withdrew from my account was not enough (one of them alighted to use my atm),they started calling my people for ransome. They threatened to rape, pour acid and kill me if my family did not yield to their demand. I pleaded, cried for them to have mercy but they wouldnt stop beating me. Suddenly my God intervened. The leader of the gang told them to stop the beating and promised not to harm me (one of them was shocked and asked what church i attend cos their leader never shows mercy). He told me to stop crying and gave me 1500 as transport fare back home cos they drove me to a very far place. He even gave me direction on how to get a bus. Aside from the beating, the money they withdrew from my account and the phones they took,i am so grateful to God that i was not raped, left with life threatning injury or killed in the process..that day as i was trying to find my way back home, i heard God speak boldly into my heart " in your times of trouble, i will deliver you"....i love you God
