Davido Rants About Unapproved Venue For Show +Says It Was Politically Motivated
Nigerian crooner Davido has taken to Twitter to reveal why he thinks his Eko Atlantic concert venue was not approved.

DeleteI believe they could have given him reasons for not approving the venue to him as they have always done in the past, but if it is political as he insinuated, then it is very bad for our democracy. The same way Kwankwaso was denied the usuage of Eagle square some months back. Nigeria I hail thee.

DeleteThanks James. I saw the comment and was like whaaaat? Comparing Kwankwaso’s cancelled presidential declaration with davido who has zero political relevance? Who is Davido? As if Eko hotels is a Federal Government run establishment. The same way the small boy and his family deceived the public that the EFCC froze their accounts to gain sympathy from the public all because of election. It turned out false.
DeleteJames I brought the comparison on this because, if you aren't in good rapport with the government then you stand not to use any of the state or federal property. The same that happened to the both men here. Davido may not be a politician but played a strong political role for his uncle which we all saw. A man with such followership online and offline have to give the government concern.

DeleteThe truth is that artists like davido, dbanj, olamide and their crew are known to constitute nuisances with drugs and hard drinks when they are at any hotel. The hotel owners usually have to kick them out especially here in Abuja. So I am not surprised they are being denied access to use these facilities as their past misconducts are catching up with them. There are even hotels in Abuja that wont put them up, that is how bad their reputations are.

Delete@Ever bubbling, in that case the organizer of the concert should spend the millions needed to provide security guards, ushers, cleaners, street sweepers et al that are needed for such a concert and the aftermath. Abi they just want to set up stage and sound system, collect all the ticket money and leave the government to pick up the bill? Very unserious people.

ReplyDeletePlease Eko hotel should not approve anything for him. Even after what his concept of last year caused, he still wants to go back. A beg. And not like people enjoyed the show cos it was over crowded and messed up. He should go and do it in an open field or better go to TBS.
