Actor Yul Edochie Talks About Getting Married When He Was 22 Years....

Nigerian actor-turned politician, Yul Edochie, says Marrying at 22-years-old to his wife remains the best thing that ever happened to him....

On Sunday While speaking during a Channels TV programme, Rubbing Minds with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie disclosed that getting married to his wife and mum of his four children, May Edochie, at 22 is one of the best decisions he has ever made in his life.

When asked by the presenter Ebuka why he got married that early, Yul said;

“My mum wanted me to because my dad also got married about the same age. He had his first child at 23 and I am very close to my mum and she wanted me to do that.

“She felt like if I did that, it would help me concentrate more because right now I have a lot of female fans and they send me messages about my voice and others and right now, I can look back and say I have to go back home.”

When asked if at anytime he felt he was too young to have gotten married, he said:

“Then. I felt that way at that time. I don’t that way right now. It is one of the best things I ever did for myself. God bless my mum. I appreciate it.”

    1. Walahi it makes most men focused, because once money enters a single guys hands it becomes hard to find the kind of lady to fit into his spec. That’s when you will hear them saying they want yellow, tall, Catholic, anambra state... that’s why some of my hubbys friends ain’t still married today

    5. it's good to know they are still together after so many years despite marrying so young. They tried. They grew up together. Who knows how long it took them to mature mentally and learn to accept each others flaws. I like.

  14. Whether they forced him or not.If he looks back its a decision that favored him.Nigerian men better learn responsibility oyigbo and our parents have been getting married this early and still stayed long and happy without all this drama we are seeing now.Would 40 be a good age for Nigerians to be matured because some are still acting like children at 40
