Undergrad Siblings Die In Young Shall Grow Bus After Driver Lost Control Trying To Change Music CD

Fresh facts have emerged on the recent death of two students of the Abia State University, ABSU, who lost their lives in a fatal accident in Imo State.

The students, who were believed to be from the same parents, lost their lives in the luciferous mishap involving a bus owned to Young Shall Grow Transport Company.

Report has it that the deceased were going to visit their parents when the accident happened during the week around Okigwe.

An eyewitness told DAILY POST that the accident happened while the driver was trying to slot in a CD plate on the car stereo.

According to the source, who survived the incident, the driver was trying to change a CD plate on the car stereo and rammed into a pothole before losing control of the steering and collided with an oncoming trailer.

The source said, “I have never seen this kind of driver in my entire life. Right from the park, he was just playing music disturbing all passengers. We complained that the music was too loud, and besides, he was just playing Ghanaian music, which none of us understood.

“He ignored us until he was satisfied and wanted to slot in another CD plate when he rammed into a pothole. In the process of trying to dodge the hole, he lost control of the steering and had head-on-collision with an oncoming trailer.

“That was how innocent children lost their lives. It was God who saved the rest of us. Another 3-year-old baby lost her limb.

“I have vowed never to travel with the company again. The driver was so rude and talked to his passengers as though they were not humans.”

Meanwhile, several calls to the company’s corporate department for comment were ‘forwarded to another number which failed to connect.

    2. ABC ke?I can't forget my experience with them in a hurry.Boarded their bus from Akwanga to Lagos after NYSc in 2009.We had a ghastly accident which claimed the lives of the driver & 5 passengers who just finished service o.About 10 of us were also injured so,we were taken to Lokoja Gen hospital.ABC did not even come to check us @the hospital.Becos of space, those with severe injuries like hands almost chopped off, neck injuries, heavy bleeding etc.were admitted & those of us with minor injuries like deep cuts in the legs & maybe faces were given 1st aid treatment which wasn't free o.We found our ways back to ABC Lokoja office only to be told that another bus which was provided for the remaining passengers had left so the 3 of us left must pay for transport fare to Lagos against the next day.All our explanations fell on deaf ears o.Infact, they even said we can't sleep at their outlet over night. My friends & I had 2 arrange for a room in d guest house.D next morning we begged t wia their office was located then.D next day,we went 2 thark to board another car to Lagos.

  4. May their souls rest in peace...being rude to your customers only applies here in Nigeria.
That's why I like GUO, if anything happens to his car and it's the drives fault, he makes you pay, there by keeping them in check.

Let's join hands as the powerful BVs that we are and win this award with a wide margin

  9. OMG may their souls find rest with their maker, that's how one human being left us at lokoja the other time to go smoke weed. We were waiting for him for close to one hour. When he came back instead of apologising he was busy talking rubbish.
