The former first lady, through her counsel, yesterday, passionately argued with the trial judge, Justice Mojisola Olatoregun, why the accounts should be released.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had on April 20, 2018, through an ex parte application, obtained an interim forfeiture of the money.
After listening to Mrs. Jonathan’s counsel’s submission, the judge adjourned the case till November 13, 2018 to take video evidence and for the EFCC to explain why the accounts should remain frozen.

ReplyDeleteThe only crime this woman committed is being loud. There are previous first ladies with fatter bank accounts but no one is even remembering them because they were not loud or brash. Coded things...that's how Northerners roll.
