Nollywood up and coming actress Okpara Chisom took to Instagram to talk about being depressed and threatened suicide.
In the post she indicated she had prayed to God for healing but felt she was ignored.

ReplyDeleteDepression is an evil spirit. With it comes the spirit of suicide, self destruction, loneliness, self pity etc etc.

Do you know Derek Prince?
He suffered from depression for many many years and it didn't get better after many prayers and fasting. Until, the Holy Spirit revealed to him that he was dealing with a spirit (after he read Isaiah 61).
The solution: he cast it out.
A lot of Christians are living in ignorance.
You should look for the book titled "They shall expel demons" by Derek Prince.
There's a free pdf version on the Internet. Google it, download, read and apply what you learn.

DeleteAll this attention seekers.... Wetin una don see wey dey make una dey depressed? Life is full of ups and down, no one is devoid of trials. We are only two children today bcos after my parents had my sister, My father couldn't make love to my mum any more.. P#nis no dey stand (yet theyreceived still happily married together with just the two of us an to crown it all, I have sickle cell and am also HIV positive (sounds wierd right?) that is my own story. I haven't killed myself or ever imagined doing it. All I pray for is good health so I can stay outta crisis and be happy like other people. So what's your story? As long as you're alive, problems, trials and temptation will arise, your ability to pray to God, stay focused and happy will help u prevail.

Delete...thing is,not everyone possesses the same level of strength. From what you've written up there, you're very strong mentally. For others, the slightest trial equals giving up totally or even taking their lives.

ReplyDeleteIt is not just movie roles, it is "chop and dump" -that's the greatest cause of depression on young girls.
