I am not sure that is a correct public statement to make. I do not see many Nigerians who are looking forward to a promised “hell”. They are in hell already. And they are not likely to rely on the words of a man who vanished, when the Nigerian hell became too hot, but he is now bragging that he will return and lead his followers to a hotter part of hell. When and if Kanu returns, (he is probably just bluffing), he may find a smaller crowd behind him. What will he say to the many families who lost loved ones and property while he and his own family fled to safety? “I owe my survival to the state of Israel”, Kanu says. “I want to send my solidarity to @GovAyoFayose”, he purportedly added.

Justice James Tsoho dismissed the application made orally by Kanu’s lawyer, Mr. Chuks Muouma (SAN), who had sought the release of the items because they would not be needed by the prosecution since they were not listed as part of exhibits to be tendered.

DeleteAs for extradition (not repatriation), don’t forget that he is a British citizen and extradition conditions are not like repatriation where a person is considered illegal and returned back to their countries. Even repatriation does not take immediate move if the person is already in the country to be deported from. It goes through court processes not to talk of extradition of a citizen. Despite that, major countries are not signed on UN conventions on criminal extradition except for partner countries agreed on a common term on such conditions. This is not business or bi-literal agreement. It is beyond a mere political diplomacy. I hope you get some sense on that.

High Court, Abuja, on Tuesday admitted the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, to bail on health grounds.
In a brief ruling, Justice Binta Nyako, said that she was convinced that Kanu was ill and needed more medical attention than the Nigerian Prisons was giving him.
“The first defendant, Nnamdi Kanu, has appealed to the court for bail based on health grounds and it is only the living that can stand trial.
“So I am minded to grant him bail so that he can attend to his health and face his trial alive,” Justice Nyako said.
She, however, gave 12 conditions which Mr. Kanu must fulfill to be released on bail, and to continue to enjoy the temporary freedom.
The conditions are:
— Mr. Kanu must not hold rallies.
— He must not grant interviews.
— He must not be in a crowd of more than 10 people.
— He must provide three sureties in the sum of N100 million each.
— One of the sureties must be a senior highly placed person of Igbo extraction such as a senator.
— The second surety must be a highly respected Jewish leader since Mr. Kanu said his religion is Judaism
— The third surety must be a highly respected person who owns landed property and is resident in Abuja
— The IPOB leader must deposit his Nigerian passport
— He must also deposit his British passport with the court
— He must provide the court with reports on the progress of his health and treatment on a monthly basis.
— The order for him to deposit his Nigerian and British passports also mean he cannot travel out of the country (If this is considered, it is the thirteenth condition).

“The historic encounter with United Nations officials in Geneva has opened up avenues and opportunities for further engagement between IPOB and relevant UN agencies on the burning issues of human rights violations by the Buhari regime and enforcement of IPOB’s universal right to self determination.
“With this meeting satisfactorily concluded, IPOB has gone where no other group of leaders before it dared go to. Leadership within Biafra country will divide it and make the dream called Biafra useless! Anambra man believes he is superior to Enugu man or any other IBO man.
That word "restructure" is for every individual that wants to be great and wants the best for his/ her neighbor! Let us restructure our mentality first and see the multiplier effects of this one simple rule"love your neighbor as yourself " God help us.

DeleteSpeak for yourself and not the entire Igbo race. Common sense would have let you know that its wrong to generalise ....there are and always will be bad and good people from every race. It is IGBO and not IBO but then you may actually be right as you could be referring to you and your own evil people of IBO extraction as IGBOS aren't such.
DeleteFear of the IGBOS is the beginning of wisdom for most Nigerians. Like him or hate him,comments on blogs have really exposed why most Nigerian youths amount to nothing. Wisdom is very far from them.Few are intelligent just like Abati. i visit here regularly but rarely comment cos as comments here constantly remind me that sooner there may be but the saying "there was once a country" when it comes to Nigeria. Others keep hating the Igbos yet they keep thriving beyond imagination and dare to dream and work towards achieving that. It would really do alot of you; angry, bitter and shallow thinking ones a great deal of favour if you focus this energy towards becoming better and improving your own tribe or being an asset to Nigeria than otherwise. And to those keyboard warriors claiming to be IBO not Igbos yet insulting the entire Igbo race to score cheap points, may WISDOM ,understanding and discernment fall on you.

With their notoriety for online fraud and all; and their drug trafficking in India, Malaysia and the likes. Always the Igbos. Seeing any other tribe is an exception to the rule or an igbo man trying to pass himself off as something else using false identity. You people have failed; your leaders and parents have failed you. You worship money more than you celebrate humanity. This is conversation you need to start having among yourselves instead of saying all hustle na hustle. I be south-south, come beat me.
