Balogun said, ”We were preparing for the election on the 1st of October before the cancellation was announced. The same thing was done again today but we were in the queue for most part of the day and I have observed that the elections have been free fair and transparent.
“It was direct primary, truly direct. Human beings were counted, not phones, not ballot papers. It would have been very painful to disenfranchise 1.5 million Lagosians who are members of APC who took part in today’s primary.
“I commend and salute them for their doggedness and forthrightness. The results have started come in and we waited till we got the last result.
“It is my pleasure and delight to announce the result of the election conducted in all the wards of Lagos state. The results are as follows Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, 72,901 votes. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, 970,851 votes.”

DeleteEven if a fresh primary is been conducted today, Ambode will still not make it. Defecting to another party won't help him either. The peoples allegiance and loyalty to Asiwaju has been proven. Even if Tinubu field me against Ambode I will win him as well. So it's all about Tinubu and not necessary Lagosians.

ReplyDeleteAmbode is been purnished for what is wife did to the priest, why sack and throw the priest out because he didn't give you holy communion first, everyone is equal in the house of God. Probably the priest has cursed him that's why he is been digarcaed like this!!! Let put sentiment aside Lagos is very dirty under Ambode, potholes everywhere, all project done under Fashola has been abandoned. Street light are no more working, plant a tree project abandoned ,education sector that Fashola revive is back to square one. Ambode is busy constructing roads simultaneously not providing alternative route for the people. Lagos-Abeokuta road ( Oshodi-Abule road) has been under construction for the past three years. Agege route that people find reguee in instead of passing through Oshodi-Abule road is also under construction. Why not finish one before starting another. Can you imagine leaving Oshodi at 5pm and getting to Abule egba by 10pm, a journey of 45min on a norm ....is that life, how do we survive in this Lagos sef? I am not supporting Tinubu either he is also a thief but I believe you dont bite the finger that feed you!!!
