Let me start by appreciating all the good things you do through this platform of yours, knowingly and unknowingly. My friend got married to someone she met on your blog few months back so i summoned the courage to do this mail to you.

ABROAD HUBBY IS NOT MOIN MOIN

Stella ooooo...this abroad husband is not moimoi. Kai!!! My hubby is cheating on me with his ex, he will scatter my ponyor from night to morning and still have the energy to go drive that overloaded truck ex!!!

RANT

I don't know why people are wicked, why would someone kill his fellow man.
The oldest tenant in our shop died 6am this morning.

He went to the village for his mother in laws burial only to notice a
small sore on his leg when he got back to Benin. He went to the
hospital and was told its nothing serious, was given some drugs but
the sore refused to heal instead it started spreading, it became a big
sore then doctors said he had tetanous, high blood pressure and
diabetes all within a month, just last week he was discharged from the
hospital after spending a lot of cash ,  doctor advised them to seek
native treatment cos the case was no longer a medical one, ,they were
directed to a native healer who gave them native medicine to use but
unfortunately it was too late.
it turns out someone in his village put poison for him to step on, for
what reason I don't know.
this man has been married for years no issue, he neither has a car or
a house of his own. He was just a photographer managing his life now
he is dead




Eyaaaaa,even a poor man has enemies?na wah oh

THE SON THAT LEFT

Today 24th of October would have been your first birthday if you had stayed. Your mother took in and we were expectant; I wanted a girl as my first while your mother wanted you. Times were hard but we pushed ahead; you were growing in the womb and your mother’s nose began to increase; we were happy as every first time parents would be; we haggled about the names we would give you and then suddenly, pre-eclampsia struck. Your mother was hospitalized and the race against time began.

At 30 weeks, the doctors said the amniotic fluid was low and recommended immediate surgery. I had donated my blood for your survival but I was low on cash because your mother had already stayed in the hospital for one month. The hospital was pay as you stay. I borrowed money and the surgery took place and within 4 and a half minutes, you were brought out alive and by the time I came in, you were crying out your lungs and already in the incubator. I was told to buy this and that which I gladly did because I had become a first time dad. The time was 11:33pm; I went to check your mom, she was in pains but happy; I held her hand and told her we made it.

The doctor came and said we are to run some tests on you; they took your blood which I thought was too much and you cried in disapproval, I smiled, my son is a fighter. I stayed in the hospital, pacing around, praying, thanking God and calling a few family members. By 5. Am, I rushed home to wash, cook and rest a bit but alas, it was not to be as I got a call to come back to the hospital immediately; I had not washed nor cooked nor have I rested but I quickly rushed back to the hospital, went to check your mother and she was fine and asked after you because she had not seen you. I went down to check on you and as I entered, I was told to sit down; my heart was already skipping several beats. “We lost him” she told me. “What? I asked. You struggled for breath and all other things she said that I can’t remember but the bottom line was that you were dead, stone dead. Your tiny frame had already being shrouded with the little blanket I bought for you.

I stood up, requested to see you and you were handed over to me; I opened the blanket and looked at your face, it was peaceful even in death; you did not stay up to 10 hours in this crazy world before you returned back.

I was broken; I wept, cried, contemplated suicide; was depressed, disillusioned and disenchanted. I questioned God, denounced my belief and lost the zeal to live. All the money I borrowed I was still going to pay but it was like paying for a lost investment. I was scared for your mom because her BP was still high but she took the news better than I did.

A lot of things have happened since then and I am still scared to begin the process to replace you. I have a lot of things to write but let me stop here because my tears still flow even as I am writing this tribute to you my son who for 7 hours struggled to live but when hopes were high, gallantly bowed out. I do not know where your remains was laid but I know you are resting in peace and so we take solace that even in the darkest of times, God is still God.

Your mother and I are better, stronger, and livelier but the scar has refused to heal. I have not even fully defrayed the expenses I incurred but I thank God for everything.

Epilogue

I have come to appreciate every pregnant woman whenever and wherever I see them. If you have never lost a loved one, you will never understand love till you do.
